Sailfish Community News, November 5, 2026 - Gothenburg Jolla Phone Roadshow event

Sailfish OS update from Jolla

Fortnight newsletter again. A lot has happened since previous fortnight. In this fortnight we have Repository roundup and Harbour news by @dcaliste and @vige respectively. Hmm, interesting keypad navigation related changes going in – what is that? Further, a good amount of new apps have been published. It’s also great to see new app developers publishing their apps .

Two weeks ago we had a first of a kind in the series of Jolla Phone Roadshow events printed in the T-Shirt in Stockholm. Gothenburg would be the next Jolla Phone Roadshow event whilst not listed in the T-Shirt. This is again something that is organized together with you – Sailfish Community. Date for Gothenburg is to be announced but it will be after the Slush-week (week 47).

Given that our calendars allow, we’d very much like to organize a meetup here in Tampere before Christmas break – Christmas Glogg (Glögg, gløgg or glögi) kind of a meeting. Location should be simple and casual. Something similar that we had previously here in Tampere (Plevna). If you are interested to set-up a streaming there, please raise your hand and let’s coordinate with @ljo. We’ll clarify this and Gothenburg meetings.

Few days ago our customer service contacted @clma31 to change his dust issue affected Jolla Phone unit. He kindly offered to stop-by the office and change the device. Yesterday he wrote a story about this. If you haven’t read it, please check this nice story.

Jolla Phone update

Delivery status

We had a milestone moment last Friday as we fulfilled and packed the very last packages of Batch 3! That means a whopping ~10,000 units shipped  :champagne: and we moved on to the September batches :rocket:

If you’re in Batch 3 and haven’t received your fulfilment notice, kindly drop us a note. There are always cases that are unclear, e.g. due to mismatching customer data, and those have been put aside for manual processing. We try clear the cases during next week.

IMPORTANT: if you have earlier decided to defer your final payment, you can still complete the payment and secure your timely delivery within your own delivery batch. Please see the earlier email we have sent to you and remember to apply the discount code!

To check your order, log in at https://commerce.jolla.com with the email address you ordered with. Fellow customers also keep a Community Shipping Tracker on the forum: Jolla Phone Community Shipping Tracker

One last note regarding the deliveries, during this we are applying changes to the delivery pipeline. This should ease the end-to-end delivery and reduce plausible error sources where a courier service transfers a parcel to another courier service. There have been reported cases for example from Czechia.

Sailfish OS update

The very recent Sailfish OS 5.2.0.22 brought a number of great improvements and fixes, and it also fixed the annoying “green hue on display” that was affecting a number of Jolla Phones. In particular in low light environment the affected units didn’t produce proper AMOLED quality deep black but instead the display reflected a “green hue”. In the end, the issue proved to be fixable with proper and accurate display calibration data, and it was even possible to bake it in to Over-The-Air SW update - something we were hesitant to promise earlier but all good in the end :victory_hand:

Smooth sailing :sailboat:

Is SID-support coming also for SFOS devices other than Commodore Callback? And would it be possible to use them as a ringtone? :face_holding_back_tears: :folded_hands:
