We’re still waiting for the few key components for the assembly. We need to secure these components to the factory in order to reserve the new manufacturing slot. Hopefully we are able to ship some still in December
Update: finally the missing components have arrived to our manufacturing partner’s factory in Samsun, Turkey and they’re prepared to run the production next week.
Further, the memory chip prices are skyrocketing, increasing the Bill-of-Materials (BoM). We’ll thus apply new prices for new orders from January onwards. In the meanwhile, you can still order with the current prices (€299 with Finland VAT applied).

Any news on that? The last update has been 18 days ago.
I am waiting since October for that phone and would really appreciate a little more transparency on the shipping/delivery/manufacturing process. When buying the phone the estimated shipping date has been 4-6 weeks after purchasing. This date has been reached mid november.
When should we expect the phones to be build and ready for shipping?
Jolla’s employees are probably still on Christmas break and will most likely return to work the day after tomorrow (January 7th). I’m sure they’ll start shipping phones made during their absence, or at least give people an update on what’s going on, as soon as possible.

Its been a month since the last official update. As we can read from that update, the phones should have been produced three weeks ago. When will they be shipped?
To be honest, this is very poor customer care as of this moment.
This poor communication is also seriously making me consider cancelling my J2 preorder. I’m in the first batch but that might be more of a curse than a blessing. I want to support SFOS but it’s pretty hard to justify right now!
I preordered a C2 like many others and I got one like all the others. I wouldn’t be to pessimistic about the delivery of a J2 because of this lack of communication of this batch of the C2 - but yes at this point, the information about the productionprocess should have been come from Jolla a few days ago itself. But they probably had come over this because of the amount of things to be done for the J2.
@rainemak : Can you give an update about the C2 for the waiting people?
We were waiting quite a while to get missing components to our manufacturing partner as noted earlier.
We’ll start shipping devices once we receive them to Finland. Getting the devices from our manufacturing partner to Finland takes still some time (finalizing production if something left, shipping, customs, etc).
