Greetings,

The Q4/25 production batch of Jolla C2 Community Phone has been sold out and the product has turned out-of-stock in Jolla shop. Due to exceptionally high memory prices combined with extended delivery times from our supplier partner Reeder, and their key component vendors, we have decided not to order a new batch for now but remain waiting how the market develops. Forecasting the key components market is utmost challenging at the moment.

If you have placed an order of Jolla C2 Community Phone prior this announcement, your order is from the Q4/25 production batch and is not affected. Your order will be shipped as soon as we get the delivery from our supplier partner Reeder, however, please expect delayed delivery times. Please follow updates of the Q4/25 production batch in this thread.

Meanwhile, the new Jolla Phone mass production start is coming closer everyday and we highly recommend interested new customers to choose the Jolla Phone Pre-order :rocket:

So how is the component situation different for JP2?

Well, the C2 was about 280€, whereas the JP2 is in the 599€+

I assume memory prices have a certain influence in this price difference.

I assume (and hope) Reeder did not build/(ships the parts for) the new Jolla Phone 2.

Let us clarify here as it is very different indeed.

The Jolla C2 Community Phone is done in collaboration with Reeder, who is the HW vendor. This means Reeder sources the components, plans the production and does the manufacturing in Turkey. Jolla provides the complete software stack (Sailfish OS) which is installed by Reeder in the manufacturing.

In the new Jolla Phone everything is different. Jolla is the vendor, has designed the product itself, done the component sourcing and pays directly to the component vendors. We control the pipeline. Further, we have secured our position for the initial memory batch with advance purchase.

Also, to be clear: Reeder has no involvement in the new Jolla Phone.

So practically there is no SFOS phone you can buy until J2 hits the streets right??

Maybe this is a chance for the Sony Xperia 10IV and 10V SailfishOS version to move forward.

Those are quite difficult to find/buy.

It depends what are you looking for. Indeed there seems that today you can’t get phone directly from Jolla.

But there are many Xperia phones still officially supported. And many community ports as well.

As noted we have started shipping of Q4/25 batch. We have a limited stock now available for purchase.

UPDATE FEB 2026

Memory component prices have had exceptionally high volatility and global shortage in the past six months which is forecasted to continue. Thus, we have adjusted the price to 349€ (incl. VAT Finland) and sell in limited quantities.
