Same here. As a backup, I set up Home Assistant to remote control the car, and might get a key fob if the Android app does not work.
Itās actually closer to 350 units. That is assuming every number was actually shipped, which we have no way of knowing.
But this indeed is a much better pace, I wonder if some sailors returned to the harbour this week. If this rate continues, Iām decently optimistic about not seeing major shifts in the delivery windows.
SMH⦠I placed order in late Dec 2025, Batch 2 yet my order number is #9XXX others here have posted 5 digit order numberās in for Batch#1ā¦

I have order #5258 and they havenāt sent me anything yet, but from what I can see, itās coming soon. Jolla must be a very small team; I wrote an email in March asking if the 12GB upgrade was necessary for batch 1 and they only replied a week ago, haha. They apologized in the email, explaining that theyāre a very small team and canāt keep up with the demand.
I would say less than that. On day 1 event some lucky sailors from batch #1 got Jolla in hands. Within this calculated 350 group, we donāt know how many of them already has had jolla from day 1, but at least somebody. Odds are fifty-sixty ![]()
Thanks for that info. I sent them an email a month ago, so maybe I will have to wait several months yet. Maybe they resolv my VAT return before thatā¦
I would just use the key card if the app doesnāt work⦠but I definitely hope it does, because not having all the automatic stuff from it would be a massive letdown.
Also, I havenāt been able to make it work in Home-Assistant for some reason. It can read all the values, but performing any action just throws an error saying itās not authorized even though Iāve done every step according to the instructionsā¦
I donāt think NFC payment is available, but it may be worth keeping an eye on Walt as they mention SailfishOS:
However, my gut feeling is they expect it to work using SFOSās Android AppSupport, which of course it wonāt unless Jolla add NFC to AppSupport like they did Bluetooth (and the rumour was they might - at some undefined future time).
So the short answer is maybe eventually, but very unlikely any time soon. You might be better off getting a Garmin watch, which apparently supports NFC payment without needing a smartphone at all.
So, if I write Jolla now, and if Iām lucky, I can receive my reply in a Christmas card form ![]()
Ooh, Walt sounds almost a little too good to be true. But weāll see. If they manage to get a version out by Q1 2027, Iāll happily wait until then.
And yeah, AFAIK my Galaxy Watch can also do NFC payment, I would just have to switch from Google Wallet to Samsung Wallet.
The ideal thing would be to have a native wallet app (Walt for example) and then be able to map the privacy button to NFC on/off. I donāt know how people generally use NFC payment, but I always keep NFC off and then just enable it right before I use it, tap the phone to the terminal, and then immediately off again.
Sent a message to shop@jolla.com on 23.7. but no reply yet so chancing my luck here:
I picked up my order at the Helsinki event, but then got another set of items in mail that arrived a few weeks later on 22.7.
The order that arrived in mail is still in sealed boxes, but IDK what to do now since I canāt get a hold of support⦠Starting to look like I just got a free phone
Order number #23526.
Oh no, my lobster is too buttery and my steak is too juicy! ![]()
@juuhjooh give em time. The shop email response might take even several months before response. My advice would to store the devices and leave them unopened until they have given further instructions.
@juuhjooh noted, weāll get you covered! Thanks for noting, rapatessa roiskuu as we say ![]()
Thanks! Issue sorted and phone sent back to factory (and hopefully some waiting customer ^^).
Thereās been some questions regarding the Batch #1 pre-order queue process. Let us clarify a couple of things:
- we ship in the order of pre-orders, i.e. the original pre-order number is the one that counts
- due to the process we use, we merge the original pre-order with the more recent final payment order, and with potential additional orders you may have made. Thus, customers will receive several tracking links automated from the system - something we canāt change for now. One of the tracking links is the one that actually moves all your ordered items. Note: if you have ordered bigger amount of items (>7 items or >2 phones) there will be several parcels (with actually separate trackings)
- if you have ordered using different email we wonāt be able to swiftly match the pre-order # with your final payment order #. Such orders will take substantially more time and go to separate manual handling, which queue we clear once-a-week for now
As to the unfortunate email queue: yeah, it is still unfortunately very loooong and we get a lot of emails where the answer can be found (or if not directly found, easily asked) here at the very knowledgeable, responsive and supportive forum
As you may have noticed, also we hang around here a lot, so please be welcome always consider raising your hand here at the forum, the place for which we have the most eyes watching ![]()
Hope these clarify and thanks for echoing here at the forum, helps us a lot ![]()
