Please tell me there will be stabilizer at one point, that video looks horrible.

Uii, scrren brightness sounds not very good for use in Iberia. Is there no HBM (high brightness mode )?

the camera app is going to get a overhaul (using Camera2 API), it just hasn’t been now the priority.

Jolla has focused to get rid of all their technical debt and the JP26 drivers. Hopefully now after 5.2 is done they can start to focus on other stuff

I did also notice that screen is not the brightest (will it be major issue? maybe with the privacy screen in a heavy sunlight), but it seems if you have the adaptive brightness ON that affects the max brightness …for some reason it will never go to max when its ON (even if you slide brightness manually to max when adaptive is ON))

I only opened the phone until I needed WILAN. Because I am in a hotel with an unsafe network I planned to wait till we are at home for installing everything.

About the back side: polycarbonate is a bit vulnerable indeed. But it is also light weight. Perhaps aluminium would be more sturdy. Don’t know if that’s possible.

I’m curious about the speakers, do they have a decent sound?

They all sounded fine but some had a bit of an accent.

Can recommend Proton as a good and easy replacement for Gmail - all your existing email is transferred through the cloud…

What do you get in the box? Any cables in there? 🪎

It’s also a question of thickness, maybe they were a little too optimistic there.

Aluminium might be stronger, but can interfere with radio signals. It is also stiffer than plastic, which may have consequences for how it attaches to the phone. Too thick, and it becomes very hard to remove, thin enough, and it might break from use.

well they have some nice depth in them and loud enough (by my standards at least), thankfully they are stereo speakers at least.

and yes it has interesting… accent, which I think should be easily tooned (if needed)

No. It’s the phone with plastic screen protector applied, and a cute goodie for your Fridge.

No cable, no charger.

And that is a good thing IMO.

oh yeah now I remember, did anyway else notice that YT app (official or revanced) video performance being bad (at times)?

Sounds like HBM when leaving automatic brightness adjustment.
Hopefully 900 nits or more are possible in HBM

i miss the good old days where even headphones were in

now they want to be cheap (not jolla, everybody) and they tell you it’s for ecology

anyway in my opinion they should have put at least a cable…

One of the first things I used to do when opening the packaging of a new phone was throw away the cheap, junk headphones, as most users likely did, so I understand why they don’t include them anymore.

Anyone know if there is an app or utility to transfer all settings/apps/profile from an existing SFOS phone? (I currently have an Xperia III)
