I decided to make a new topic as the earlier information got buried in lots of discussion.
Earlier I asked whether anybody would be interested in a walk on finnish history and society in Helsinki close to J2 day.
Some people were interested but I’d like to raise the question again to see if there are more.
Also I would like to decide the day as there where preferences there. My original idea was to have it on the 7th to give an introduction to Finland and maybe some pieces of advice on arrival. I could also have it on the 9th if the 7th doesn’t work.

So I’m giving a walk on Finnish history and society on the 7th and 9th of July.
The walk will start at 2 o’clock in Suomenlinna at the King’s gate/Kunkinaanportti. OpenStreetMap Google Maps

You can instead take the regular ferry and walk across the island but if it’s crowded (nice weather) you might not fit on the first ferry so then you could take an earlier ferry. There is plenty to see on the island. A normal AB Helsinki commuter ticket is valid for the ferry. I’m plankning om taking the 13.00 ferry.
I’m intending to walk myself so greet me if you see me. You might see me on Hvar if my phone hasn’t fallen asleep.

It was also very nice to meet everyone who joined the tour.
Watching the second half of Argentina vs Egypt with Team Norway, and chatting about the World Cup and everything else, was wonderful. What a comeback.
