@fingus ich kann den Raum nicht finden mit Schildichat ( auch nicht mit Element (X)).
Habs gefunden - ist aber ein Telegram Raum, der mit Brücken zu Matrix läuft. Das möchte ich nicht.
Ein reiner Matrix Raum für SFOS wäre interessant.
Vielleicht sollten wir einen starten? Ich weiss aber nicht, wie man das organisiert, so als Admin für Chats. Möchte da keine Fehler machen.
Z.Bsp. Öffentlich oder nur mit Einladungen - verschlüsselt oder nicht.

Ich habe jetzt einen Matrix Raum erstellt, nicht öffentlich, nur für Mitglieder ab Einladung. Wer mitmachen möchte, bitte mir die Matrix Adresse mitteilen und Einladung geht raus. Sollte sich der Raum nicht wirklich entwickeln, behalte ich mir vor, diesen wieder zu löschen.

diese settings haben als neuer account auf vanilla Geraet Jolla C2 funktioniert,
SailfishOS 5.0 build 5.0.0.72 Tampella;
Besonderheit: Es wurde nicht der root account, sondern ein Benutzeraccount eingerichtet. Da SailfishOS auf JollaC2 m.E. noch grosse Probleme mit dem rechteseitig eingeschraenkten Benutzeraccount hat, ist das hier von Relevanz.
Spezifisch:
Benutzername (=”Beschreibung”): vollständige Posteo-Adresse, z.B. karl.krass@posteo.de
Password: Posteo-Kennwort
Serveradresse: https://posteo.de:8843
(d.h. die Serveradresse muss eingegeben werden als:
“posteo.de:8843“);
ohne Port an der Adresse Verbindungsfehler!
weiter:
“Authentifizierung waehrend der Kontoerstellung” ein
“SSL-Fehler ignorieren”: aus lassen
EIN: “Kontakte” und “Kalender”
keine Angaben setzen in:

WebDAV-Pfad (leer lassen!)

Resultat:
Posteo Kontakte werden repliziert / synchronisiert

Vermutlich bidirektionale Synchronisation (gefaehrlich: die Formate stimmen nie ueberein und schreiben immer Eintraege kaputt - wie bei jedem Mobiltelefon)
Es fehlt leider die Option, unidirektional zu synchronisieren.
Fazit:

In this forum we use English.
If you must, use a translator - don’t pass that problem on to others.

how about language specific settings in the translated GUI of SailfishOS?
How about country specific provider offers and settings?
How about a language specific wording used by the local provider for mail and related services?
Based on my experience a lot of unnecessarily specific information comes into play by having translated GUIs - like the good old SailfishOS 
so no - I do not pass that translator problem on to others. I refuse to confuse the others by giving the wrong idea of what can be translated and what shall not. It is semantic and syntactic and you shall not cut te threads.
I actually use Jolla since 2014 and I never had any issues with Finnish language.
I did not even know one single word … but the Jolla carried my SIM over whatever ocean 
I have used SFOS since 2013. Not once have i needed to read or translate Finnish.
It is only in recent years some people have started thinking it is reasonable to post online in their native language - and basically only Germans.

you are right - if the posting would be in Spanish I would hate it so much. Finnish would leave me helpless. French is too complicated for an ordinateur.

In specific parts I don’t.
You find reason to hate me and my arrogance - nevertheless the solution works

I did not find any non-German posting an experience based hint how to get the weird CardDAV working.
Maybe someone else will find the time to write down a successful description to set up CardDAV (and CalDAV!) with his local provider!

The United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Antigua and Barbuda, and the United States do not (!!!) have English as a de jure official language!
It is the de facto working language for their governments.

There are now more than 1500 posts in German language in the two dedicated threads. Why now?
Perhaps you mean that he has more chances to solve his problem if he would post in English. Why not tell him so?
I think dedicated subforums for specific languages make sense. Other forums (Nextcloud for example) have this too. To be honest this two German threads are already a big mix of several topics, and the initial one has more than 1000 posts so far - not easy to find something in there.

Die deutschsprachige Gemeinschaft ist relativ gross im Vergleich mit anderen Sprachen. Ob dann es sich lohnt, weiss ich nicht.
Ich bin aber eher dagegen, weil man auch auf Englisch schreiben kann. Wenn dann die Hälfte der Beiträge nur auf Deutsch sind, sind die anderen Benutzer ausser vor

Der Vorteil am diesem deutschsprachigen thread ist, dass man einfach quatschen und fließen lassen kann, offtopic wird es erst durch Wechsel auf eine andere Sprache als Deutsch, eigentlich war der englischsprachige Poster oben offtopic

das genau ist der Grund, NICHT dort vertreten zu sein …
ich will Loesungen, nicht “quatschen” und anderes socialising Zeugs, minderwertiges “fließen lassen“ (igitt) soll besser in den asozialen Medien stattfinden, nicht hier.
Unterirdisch hier, Deutsch! Vorteilhaft, dass Posts mit dem einzigen Thema “… ch versteh gar nicht wo das Problem …” nicht das Forum beschaedigen.
Ich melde mich in den deutschsprachigen Threads eigentlich aus Prinzip nicht zu Wort. Ich bin der Meinung, dass man sich auf Englisch als internationalen Standard committet hat. Nun hab ich zwar per se nichts dagegen, wenn man einen Thread hat, in dem deutsch oder spanisch oder auch suaheli gesprochen wird. Allerdings nur, wenn es um den Schnack zwischendurch geht. Sobald hier Hilfestellungen oder Ähnliches abgehandelt wird, finde ich das nicht mehr in Ordnung, weil anderssprachige User davon nicht profitieren können. Ich persönlich halte das bei einer eher kleinen Community für ausgesprochen schade.

Es steht doch genau das gleiche geschrieben wie auf dieser Posteo Hilfeseite zur Einrichtung, ich versteh gar nicht wo das Problem (oder die Lösung) eigentlich liegt
ich habe auch von vorneherein nicht verstanden, warum überhaupt ein Problem vorliegt, mir kam posteo einrichtung straight forward und unproblematisch vor
Zusätzlich sehe ich noch Unterstützung für User, die selbst nicht gut English beherrschen (auch mit anderswo bereits gelösten Problemen) als legitimen Zweck
