Didn’t work. I get the same message

I kind of need a working matrix client for my phone.
There’s also Hydrogen.
It’s working now. Are u on matrix.org server? Try other, it have problems from time to time. I’m on other server.

My problem doesn’t seem to be the server.
Are there any other file to delete to “reset” the app completely?
I had delete this 3 files in folder
/home/defaultuser/.local/share/system/privileged/Secrets/org.sailfishos.secrets.plugin.encryptedstorage.sqlcipher/
And deleted Sailtrix and installed it back. Had same issue a month ago. It helps.
Yeah did that and still non go.
I updated my PP to 5.0 and got the secrets collection message. I followed these instructions to the letter and it worked ok.
You need to be root to get at the Privileged folder.

Looks like it’s linked to this post with the “Confirm with security code” issue which happens after a reboot.
I edited the code of sailtrix to print more info. When entering the right code (twice) the error is IncorrectAuthenticationCodeError - “Password Agent was unable to verify the authenticity of the user”.
I guess it comes from there in the sailfish-secrets source code.
From this point Sailtrix didn’t load credentials from Secrets and thinks it doesn’t exist, so it brings you to the login page. When you try to log in again, it fails to create the new secret collection as it already exists.
I’m not sure if it’s a problem with Sailtrix or sailfish-secrets.
Are there any other files than the saitrilwallet ones to delete (ie something at /home)?
The problem seems to be in the secrets.
Normally only the 3 files in the secrets directory. But you need to reboot otherwise it won’t work.
I updated to 5.0.0.61 and looks like it’s sort of fixed, it didn’t ask me for security code last time but only for a confirmation, and then it loaded the chats.
Ok that was the part i was missing. After a reboot it works.
Its kind of sad that this app is sort of abandoned

SFOS 5 was recently released and even more recently on all devices so i guess (& hope) it’ll just take a bit more time for devs to update apps to 5.

But there’s no change in sailfish-secrets repo since 4 years ago, so idk what changed between 5.0.0.43 and 5.0.0.61 that fixed it…

Hi, I’m pretty new to Sailfish OS and still figuring things out. I purchased one of the C2 phones and I’m pretty happy so far.
Now searching for a Matrix Client I came accross Sailtrix.
The problem I have is, that I can’t see any media files I receive or send. I searched the net and I stumbled accross this issue, but it seems old and solved everywhere. For me, it persists.
I can send images, but in my chat I just see nothing, neither any info, nor any text sent instead. The other people in the chat see it as normal.
Can I do something about this?
I am running
- harbour-sailtrix-1.4.1-1.aarch64
- Sailfish OS 5.0
And I can’t verify the session. No method works (seems not implemented). Can I do something about that, toi?
Collect the logs and provide the relevant part, maybe somebody can help then

Why does Jolla not allow a Sailfish OS API in the Jolla Store?!
Does anyone know why this is so?
Either he did not bother or the api is not allowed in store, cause not stable according to jolla.
The api for location is allowed in store since a ~ year
e.g.
Please understand that you are replying to a post from 2021. Sailfish Secrets has been allowed in Jolla Store since 2022.
