  • Fix file open dialog size on landscape display.
  • Fix activation of background apps from events like cover actions on Mind2 homescreen.
  • Container management daemon and Sailfish Settings UI for applying Venho ADA updates on Mind2.

OT: oh, I’m surprised! Does the Mind2 have the same Sailfish OS as the phones and the same update cycle and version numbers?

Basically yes, although all the magic happens more or less independently of the (Lipstick/Silica) UI.
It has a web interface you access from your LAN, and some configuration happens in the shell via SSH at the moment.

Since not everyone needs an AI assistant, it would also be interesting to have a more affordable and compact set-top box or HDMI stick with Sailfish OS for streaming videos on your TV screen, etc

External screen via USB or BlueTooth would be fine - @Jolla please make option to mirror the display to a TV or external monitor! Thank you so much!

There’s an app for that: Screencast by nephros.

Wow thanks @filip.k
Works like a charm after one minute installation time + at the first try!
And thank you very much @coderus and @nephros !

I’m happy to see progress on the mind2. I am also waiting for improvements for the C2 like ending a call properly without restarting ophono services in the coming major release.

… by @coderus really. I try to maintain his work though.

I was hoping this update would keep my Xperia 10iv turned on once the charger is disconnected.

I’m pretty sure this didn’t use to be a problem, until some version introduced it, meaning it may not be a blob thing.

Is that restart fixable? Am I alone with it?

So you mean this setting?

Unfortunately not.

The phone will snuff itself after disconnecting the charger, seemingly related to blackening and turning on the screen after the disconnect.

Gotta plan those recharges so there’s time to wait for the bootup.

This is not behavior I would imagine anyone wanting, and afaiui Jolla is aware of this as a bug.

At least with quick search I could not find any report of phone shutting down when charger is disconnected from the forum or our internal bugtracker. Does it happen every time? Does it happen with all chargers? Could you maybe create separate post about this issue to collect more details?

When restarting the C2 phone for the installation touch buttons were unresponsive for security code. Shutting the display and opening it fixed made work. Same was with previous release. I tried normal power off and on and touch seemed to work properly.

@Keto I talked this over with @direc85 at least, but I may not have made too much noise publicly. It could even be I forgot to bring it up here.

I found this file https://mjt.nysv.org/scratch/sfos-charge-crashforensics.mjt.2025-02-26.02.zip which I can’t upload here but it got some logs that should maybe explain the situation to those in the know.

Not sure if there’s anything else I can do but lmk if there is anything, thanks!
