It’s possible that the password(s) got lost in the transfer, meaning that the backup doesn’t store the correct password. Also it depends on your email provider. In my case, I had to recreate a device specific password after transferring from C2 to new Jolla 2026 which is every time I use to connect my account with a new device.
It doesn’t. As backup file has no protection. At least for now.
I also re-entered all the passwords. I also changed from SSL to to StartTLS and back. Does not work.
But if others are afected we might have to create a proper bug report.
I don’t know if I fully and completely understand your topic with restoring the backup and passwords in the accounts, but so far, every time I restored the backup (made in the SFOS Settings), I had to enter the passwords in the accounts after the restoration. I think it’s the right way to maintain the security of the personal data.
The point is, that the Account does (not even after entering or even changing the account password and settings) never starts working again with sendig mails. (While receiving works as expected.)
So that’s a problem, I agree.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate your app. In my memory there were others who also had an issue with launching apps. This was mentioned in the latest update. Surely I am not the only one having installed Forum Viewer on Jolla2. It’s manageable though. I just switch these two off seperately.

I want to let you know that the video calling problem with Threema Libre is solved by installing ‘Open Camera’ from FDroid. The camera toggle in the right corner above now works.
Hopefully Google Almighty allows Open Android longer so we can keep using these FOSS apps.
Fully satisfied with the Jolla2 !
