in this case, Inactive means that there is no current request that is processed. Its a usual state. Alternative is to wait for long routing or search calculations on slow device

ME went āfreemiumā recently and among subscription features are offline maps and traffic (and much more). Whatās left is rather barebones.
@rinigus: Are your aware, PM (or OSMSS - both installed via Jolla Store) stopped being able to download country list and maps after devices got updated to Pispala (see here, for example)?
Recommended versions from chum can`t be installed at the moment because of errors (see here).
Could you have a look at that, please?

No, I wasnāt aware, thanks. Will look into it soon. Chum versions are the ones that should work and I have no idea why install fails for them. Will check.

I initially had those errors when upgrading, but now have PM, Chum and OSM Scout Server working flawlessly on 5.1.0.11.

is there plan to implement Piper TTS? i using piper on my linux machine in the X-Plane and the quality is close to perfect, it is in python but could be also as binary, plus you can choose from many voicesā¦ would be cool to have it in PureMaps !

Same here when testing on docker image of 5.1.0.10. PM and OSMSS installs cleanly from chum and all libs are correct.
Try to install via zypper in terminal after refreshing repos. If still have errors, check enabled repos with ssu lr. If those are fine, try zypper dup.

On SFOS 5.0.0.78 everything was fine (PM and OSMSS were installed from chum as recommended). The troubles started after updating the device to Pispala (5.1.0.11) and show the symptoms mentioned (in the linked release notes thread).
How did you circumvent the update errors in chum?
Is there a way to update apps over chum via terminal (to see at least the complete error messages as they are too long / disappear too quick to be read within Chum GUI - screenshots aren`t possible either in Chum GUI to read them calmly)?

Nothing particularly complex. I believe I downloaded the Chum RPM from the chum git and manually installed that. Then, once that was installed I could install the other apps, including PM. Nothing more complex than that.
Installing Chum GUI again after upgrading to Pispala (with the rpm from openrepos) went fine, so that doesn`t seem to be the problem. But trying to install OSM Scout Server (3.1.7-1.9.2.bso) and Pure Maps (3.5.1-1.15.1.bso) via this Chum results in error messages (something like ānothing provides libabsl_log_ā¦ā - messages are too long / fade away too quick to read them completely and screenshots - by pressing both volume buttons on the device - to document the behaviour aren`t possible there either).

Can you get the RPM for PM and install that via file manager too?
Didn`t try that yet as the installation is recommended via Chum by rinigus (especially to get the full feature set - see here in this thread above and text in Jolla Store description).

Yes I definitely normally use Chum, though to get it going, I think thatās what I did.

I always deinstall all chum apps ( I use only 3) before an upgrade and reinstall them afterwards. PureMaps works for me like a charm and the other chum apps, too.
I know this does not help you this time, but maybe for the next update.
please see my message above and use zypper in terminal to refresh repositories, check repos by āssu lrā, maybe ensure that all packages are correctly installed (zypper dup) and install pure maps. Please donāt download RPMs directly. If something is not clear, try to read zypper docs first. If you donāt have zypper installed, pkcon should do the same. Then read its docs

On the new Jolla (JP2) with 5.2.0.13 (Finlayson) all went fine with PureMaps + OSM Scout Sever downloaded and installed from Chum repo.
