Please don’t spread misinformation. I posted links to two actual installation guides. What you linked is outdated and not by me, the one who made the port.
It worked because I updated it after I took over the port so that if anyone stumbles upon it doesn’t get misinformed, but i’m not gonna maintain it, and there’s no point in posting some other guide when i already posted two links to official ones
Follow official guides that I’ve linked.
Because you’re not the one who will hear “hey its not working” in your dms when they follow wrong guide because someone on the forum linked wrong guide despite me linking two correct ones
It’s matter of principle, these things stay on the internet forever and in 10 years it will probably still be there. Same as people have issue finding new port vs the old port as proven above.
Now you know more on why I asked here for directions. I found old instructions on github that seemed to belong to another port. And the verdanditeam website didn’t show up in my searches. I haven’t used google in like 10-15 years, and duckduckgo isn’t as good as it used to be…
Anyway, nice website (verdanditeam). It looks nice and browses smoothly on my C2 - impressive…
Once I’ll get that old phone I bought I’ll roll it back to android 9 and give this port a try. Thanks!

Hi, all of a sudden I cannot call anymore. No dialing sound, stops dialing, telling me “network problems”. SMS work. Vodafone Germany. Since yesterday. Reboot doesn’t help. Any idea?

I have a OnePlus 6t and I have tried 3 times to install SailfishOS but without success.
- MSM tool + installation Android 9.5
- Unlocked bootloader
- boot TWRP slot B
- ADB dirty install LOS slot A
- reboot again
- flash SailfishOS
- But phone never boot to SFOS???
I have no idea what I’m doing wrong, I tried at least 3 times and followed the installation instructions exactly. Always install Roms on slot A.
I’m asking for help.

check if stock and lineage boot up on slot a
I check OPO Android 9.5 then 9.4…
Yes I checked. OPO slot A and LOS slot A, TWRP first boot on slot B, then I change On “reboot” slot to A and dirty install LOS.

Thought I’d share my experiences with this port so far.
Worst part of the install process was no doubt setting up the toolchain and rolling back to android 9. I had to wrestle a half locked down win11 craptop into using unsigned drivers. That wasn’t good for my health.
Anyway, once installed and configured it seems to run just fine. Almost… I’m sometimes experiencing a wierd issue with the wifi connection where the phone can’t communicate with the world after waking up from sleep mode. I have to cycle wifi off/on to make it work. Overall not a big issue though.
What’s worse is that I don’t seem to be able to receive any sms/mms messages. Sending them works just fine. I checked the APN setting for my provider and they have been autoconfigured correctly. I can’t see where this issue is coming
from. Anyone got any ideas?
I need to be able to receive sms/mms reliably before the OP6 can serve as a “daily driver” for me. So, unfortunately I will keep using my C2. It is painfully slow at times, but its most important features work.
I’d still prefer to use the OP6 over my C2. Camera is a bad joke on the C2. GPS doesn’t really work either (probably due to a real crappy chip), and the cpu is way too weak. I still like it, but the OP6 outshines the C2 on all these points (and more). I really hope development continues for this port. Just wish I could help. Again, good job getting it this far.

oh that’s already been mentioned in this thread, something something about volte or 4G I don’t know, it works for some doesn’t work for others. Those who have problems seem to be in minority so far. Even official xperia ports seem to struggle with that iirc
Anyone got any ideas?
Maybe my volte update will fix it (not that volte is working atm)

Yeah, tried that but it doesn’t work for me. Also, IF it would have worked it would still be to cumbersome. Could the issue somehow be related to lack of voip capability?
I tried calling and that works just fine. Audio quality was good. My C2 seems to work with voip and call audio is really good. But, still I couldn’t hear much difference to the OP6 which we all know can’t do voip at the moment. Jolla seems/claims to be embracing the open source idea lately. Maybe they will soon share their voip implementation?

I’m thinking that my carrier must be trying to deliver any messages sent to me. Perhaps it even looks successful from their point of view since:
a) the sender is not notified that the message couldn’t be delivered (not sure uf this is actually done)
b) I don’t receive the message later when I pop my sim card back into my C2.
I think that b) could be a sign that the message IS received by my phone, but something breaks before it shows up. Is there a log somewhere that could reveal how far the message got?
