Oneplus 6(t) - THE port to get

Still my English is not to good.
"no money yet " is this a saying? or do you need some money? I would like to buy you a coffee if you let me know how?

Otherwise, good thing to hear your close to volte, congratulations. Why should your new phone idea’s be better than this op6? Just because it’s an old phone? I like it.

On the other side a new phone is still very interesting.

I’ve probably mistaken something as I’m not english native myself but I’ve meant it as “no dice/no luck yet”… I think I’ve heard it somewhere

>Why should your new phone idea’s be better than this op6?

because despite option to flash stuff to enable volte, op6 is old enough to get straight up blacklisted by phone carriers so it might not work

I just tried t-mobile and att usa bring-your-own-device imei checkers, and my OP6T is still on their “nice” lists.

Hello Mr. Magister. I tried to reset the op6 because I wanted to give it to someone, but with my secrets and accounts erased. When I do a reset, after a reboot, everything is just there like before. Is there a way to do a real reset so the the next user don’t see my data and accounts? A fresh start as on any other device you do a reset on?
Greetings Tom.

Easiest would be to just boot twrp and flash sfos again, if the settings reset option doesn’t work anymore (official devices have it disabled)

Does that main putting OOS9.x back in place and put Lineage 16.0 back? Or can one just put Sailfish flash image in Dowloads or root folder and will twrp be able to find it in the former SailfishOS installation? Thx for a reply …

As I said you can just boot twrp and flash sfos. I did not mention flashing oos or lineage.

No you cannot put it in Downloads because how are you gonna flash something that flashing is going to remove? Linux kernel would save you but it would be terrible idea

How then does twrp get to the flashfile? Sorry for the stupid questions …

You can just do it like you did when you installed the sfos

The image file was still there where I had put it in android. Problem solved, flash succesful, thx again.

Hello Mr. Magister.
I met an issue for flashing oneplus6. the last step to flash sailfishos-xxx.SLOT_a.zip, it show below error:
Unable to read slot from filename, please ensure the zip file one contains a single underscore, that is directly before the slot suffix and the slot suffix is followed by a ‘.’
updater process ended with ERROR: 99.

Please free to help.

Isn’t it obvious? You renamed the file.

sailfishos-4.6.0.13-20240905-enchilada-STABLE5-SLOT_a.zip
the xxx is from github just the short name. no renamed.

I suspect you’re using sideload so renaming the file

yes,you are right. after use install sailfishos-5.0.0.62-20250428-enchilada-STABLE6-SLOT_a.zip in twrp , it done. Thank you!!!

And may i know if any plan to support containerd?

Hi guys!
I just bought a second hand OP6 to try this port (and perhaps lineageos). I really like the UI of SFOS, but my C2 doesn’t really make it justice. I’d like to try it on a snappier platform. The C2 is sometimes frustating to use, but at least the basics like calling and texting works flawless for me. It’s just that the rest isn’t always great…

However, is there a write up somewhere with flashing guidelines/instructions? Where can I get the files? There is a dead link to github early in this thread, but that’s all I’ve found. Would someone point me in the right direction, please? I’ve looked through this thread twice but can’t seem to find my way…

It’s literally third link in google ehh

Is the site of the verdanditeam down? I can’t reach it anymore for the last 2 days I tried …

seems to be down indeed thanks

fixed now
