CIEID does not work because of security environment: Google security required, but SailfishOS fails the test (appears as rooted).
Alfabeto requires you to set a screen lock, but it believes it’s not set even if it is (on the SFOS side). This would require a fix on the Android side that has been requested but unfortunately not provided yet. As a result, the app will refuse to start.
Easypark works.
No Google wallet replacement, sorry.
I travel with a backup Android phone for the apps that don’t work on SFOS.
if you have an android phone that you can install microG on instead of googleplay services, maybe try testing the app with that. if the app works with microG, and doesn’t rely on bluetooth or nfc, there is a decent chance it will work on SFOS AAS with microG. if it doesn’t, getting it to work may still be possible but more difficult.
in my experience, most apps work fine except for banking apps, resource-intensive games, and of course bluetooth, though bluetooth may very well be working before the phone is released.
wait really?? I just used it a few months back on my Xperia XA2 and it was working perfectly fine (albeit I do have microG on there, so our differences in mileage might be due to that)
It depends on the mode it is working in. For simple totp stuff, that you as well could do with any replacement app, it for sure works.
There are more involved things where authentification is handled back internally to different apps, and those might not work without gsf
oh I know, I specifically need one of those weird proprietary Microsoft modes, I’d be using something native and open source if it didn’t!
in my case, I have to tap a notification on my phone and enter the number from my computer screen, and at the very least that particular flow worked just fine
Sorry hear, but if you are interested keep looking for SailfishOS. Maybe your banks start to work, hopefully sooner than later. But I understand the need for bank applications
A hugely comprehensive list, with the caveat it’s intended for de-Googled Android phones, rather than Sailfish OS with AppSupport: https://plexus.techlore.tech/
The last list by Plexus should provide a pretty good (but not perfect) guide to AppSupport compatibility:
If something is listed as not working on a de-Googled phone, then it almost certainly won’t work on Sailfish OS (although I have come across one exception).
While if something does work on a de-Googled phone, then it should also work on Sailfish OS - unless the app needs a feature that AppSupport has intentionally removed (PIN support is one example, fingerprint unlocking is another, since these are supplied by Sailfish OS).
