exactly ! when i was reading @rainemak post that this is “okeish” i was very upset . after all “relax, breath, wait, pay until deadline and you will not loose your slot…” … maybe we are sensitive just because we remember tablets…
not talking much how this closing their doors for B2B relations to sell more devices via resellers. potentially Jolla phone2 is good candidate for seniors here who don’t need bank app in phone, and for employees as work phone instead their locked android what was changed to not-smart phone… i can imagine that i can sell hundreds montly
This is not about being sensitive, tax crimes are the most persecuted in the world (which probably tells you something about our society) and I don’t want to commit what looks like a weird fraud to outside observers.
Like, I like SFOS but definitely not enough to want to go explain what the hell were those weird transactions and what exactly was I trying to do to someone with dead eyes and a minimum monthly quota for fines.
Yes. I don’t have info from Jolla, but I assume booking a place cost money so I would consider it as an entry fee unless specifically stated otherwise from Jolla at some point.
indeed exactly, at first place Jolla pushing us to weird transactions, at the second in case i will risk it worries are related to refunds what could remind promised refunds for tablets…
I think this is sort of ok to some extent, if you have ordered everything you need. You have a screenshot of the order and your account has been charged, so I’d say the order was likely registered properly.
However, it is alarming that you can’t log in and don’t get any e-mails from the shop. This might cause problems with delivery notifications down the line. So think this is one of the rare instances where you should send Jolla an e-mail.
Use a Subject line that indicates the problem and include as much detail as you can. Since you don’t have a confirmation e-mail to reply to, you should probably include the screenshot and date/time when the order was completed (the file timestamp of the screenshot should be close, if you have nothing better).
Just make sure that you use the same e-mail as you used for final payment (I made a mistake to use different e-mail for voucher and final payment, in other account I see this 99€ voucher and in the other account my confirmed payment)
Me too. But I got the confirmation about the order, so I’m not freaking out. And I even tested the code and the Commerce page says it has been used, so looks like all I have to do is wait.
Oh? I wasn’t aware I got my second part of the refund. It’s water under the bridge, it was years ago and frankly I couldn’t care less at this point, but let’s not assert they were refunded (universally).
I just tried to log in at the jolla shop with my email but I still don’t receive the mail with the login code.
Then I tried to log in with another email address (that I got of my current ISP) which I rarely use, and I got an email with code immediately. Login successful but of course no information visible.
My old email address, the one I use for 99% of the time, has a little story behind it. About 30 years ago when I got my fist internet connection, it was with the ISP zonnet. Also my first email address ending with zonnet.nl. This is the email address I still use for about everything. After some years zonnet was taken over by versatel. Versatel got taken over by tele2. All the email addresses remained active. Even after I left tele2 and went to my current ISP. But in 2020 I got an email of tele2 they stopped supporting the old email addresses and especially the ones that are no tele2 customers. But there is a new company with the name zonnet that has taken over all the email addresses and offers different subscriptions for the people that wanted to keep there old email address. The basic subscription is to keep you mail address to sent and receive. But I took a higher subscription with a personal domain name. I have a new email address with this domain name to which the old email address is coupled. Everything sent to my old email address is put in the inbox of my new email. But when I sent an email, it shows the new address. But for all the countless websites I still use the old address for login and receiving. So, I should still receive the mails of the jolla store for order confirmation or login. But those are the only ones I don’t receive. Didn’t have any problems before with other sites.
I’ll send an email to the jolla shop to ask what the problem is. If I receive the return mails at least.
My first e-mail addresses were lost. One of them when someone sent me several big messages with images in them. But they thought they sent them to a different address, and as I still hadn’t received them, they just resent everything. Multiple times.
My inbox went over quota, but I didn’t notice. That address was a bit dormant, and I only checked from time to time.
Next thing: ISP started to send “over quota” messages to anyone who tried to contact me, including a few spammers. Up to that point I been able to keep spam at bay, silently deleting it on sight. Now they thought they were finally getting reactions from me, something indicating that their e-mails were actually reaching their destination.
This resulted in more spammers attacking. Many more. When I finally woke up to the situation, it was so bad I couldn’t delete messages at the rate they came in. As I didn’t use that address much, I just let it burn.
Something is off with the Jolla shop and your e-mail. Maybe one end deems the other untrustworthy.
Can’t remember that. I hadca partly refund, as far as I remember we all got a small amount back, and I also had on voucher for getting an xperia license.
I am currently waiting for confirmation as to whether the shipping procedure has started. However, my question is of a formal nature. I do not understand your accounting method for the voucher itself, which could potentially cause issues for either you or me.
On December 12, I ordered a “Jolla Phone Pre-order Voucher” (batch 2) and requested a 0% VAT intra-community supply invoice issued to my company, including my EU VAT ID (Poland), as required. This has not been provided; I only have an invoice issued to an individual, which cannot be legally recorded in my company’s accounts.
The invoice for my final order is correct (it includes the required company details), and it reflects the pre-order as a discount of €97.02. However, I would prefer both invoices to be consistent.
