Jolla Phone update - Final payment and towards mass production šŸš€

You can always lift the screen protector, use the included stickers to remove any dust trapped on the screen or the protector itself and reapply with the included frame.

I don’t use them personally but I applied hundreds of them.

I am wondering what is the screen used? I haven’t used screen protector for many years due to recent screens are quite robust, however I worry Jolla ones may not be comparable to those (more) commercial ones

It clearly communicates that it is Corning gorilla glass, how could it get more commercial when that is what almost everyone else uses?

It would be useful to know the exact display measurements and whether there are any uneven areas on the display. Then I could make a display protection foil for myself, as I personally prefer it over glass-based display protectors.

I hope and believe that there will be third-party manufacturers who will also provide us with foil-based display protectors.

There are 10+ different versions with different properties for about 20 years now.
Personally I don’t care at all and I never did, but gorilla glass is pretty much the standard on all phones, and it definitely doesn’t mean anything if you don’t know exactly which one it is.
At least for the people who care about these things.

On a funnier note, It took us almost 4 months to learn that the screen is 90hz. I have faith that we will learn the gorilla glass type as well at some point

there are like a thousand types and even for same type different manufacture (e.g. samsung vs sony) still appear to get different result, I don’t know whether it is that they get special tinkered contract or what

This makes me think…does the ticket come with a separate email?

Might raise a flag or two if someone tries to send 12000 emails at once out of the blue, so they have to pace those or use a mailing service who does it for them in automated batches.

The same issue happened to me as well, I was too excited, did not read Jolla’s email carefully and so did not enter the discount code as well. As others mentioned above, I hope this possibility could be fixed.

My order number #4244

I still tried to add the code but surely it isn’t working anymore afterwards:
ā€JOLLA-PHONE-BATCH1-Fxxxxxxxxxx discount code isn’t valid for the items in your cartā€

So, people… do you understand that you are actually taking valuable resources from Jolla, through all this mess with carelessly read emails? Resources that I fear will delay both development and delivery.

At least take the hit for your own carelessness instead of passing it on to the rest of us.

Dude… Just let people make mistakes, okay? I’m gonna bet my house that you’ve made a mistake or two in the past and that mistake cost other people time/money/energy.

Of course I’ve made mistakes, over time plenty of them, but I have always taken my responsibility and compensated for any losses. I have even been legally required to do so… without complaining.

What I was trying to say, is that we maybe shouldn’t mail bomb Jolla at this time.

I will not be home in July to accept the delivery. I want to avoid it being sent back. Can it be sent to another address?
