Jolla Phone update - Final payment and towards mass production 🚀

I did, I did (weeks and weeks ago)

They did say somewhere that you can buy it through some retailer as well. However, I did not find the post.

How are we supposed to listen to music with these headphones on a phone that doesn’t have a 3.5 mm jack input? Is it like Nokia’s Bluetooth headset?

How about an adapter

I’m pretty sure they will have USB-C as connector instead of 3.5mm.

I am using USB-C in ear headset from glugel and it works well. We have already one thread about this topic here. There are also some examples for adapter.

Where do you see this accessory? I only see the option for an extra back cover, a protective case and a screen protector. No extra battery or headphone or anything. When I follow the accessories link in the payment email (Sep II batch) it says; “Spare batteries and other accessories will be made available closer to the shipping.” So should I wait with ordering my phone closer to… shipping??

You can just search for usb-c headset in the net. There are lot of to buy.

I would expect that music output via USB-C works, like on other phones. If it does, all you need is a DAC. These can be so small to fit in a dongle and can be found for 10-15 EUR.

The most widely available is the Apple USBC to headphone jack dongle.

Alternatively there are some headphones thag have it all integrated and come directly withUSBC plug.

You don’t even need a dongle if your headphones already have one and support USB-C to USB-C, like my Bowers & Wilkins PX8 for example. But you are right of course.

Looks like limited is not so limited xD

Probably not worth risking the momentum now since the can produce a bit more per batch like previous batches.
They also need to prepare for Black Friday and Christmas I assume.
Batches now take 2-3 months of voucher buying and another month to complete the order, so for the next round it will be October when everyone pays up. You can’t have the phone delivered to them barely a few days after the final payments with the current pace and system.

Hello Jolla Staff. Please let me know if you can accept my final payment for order #20178 before 30 June ?

Is a venue for Jolla Phone Day1 celebration event (July 8, Helsinki) booked and confirmed?

I have added ticket during payment for batch#1 but still cannot find info about address. I would like to organize my trip as I am going to get there from outside of Finland

Hi, I ordered the phone for September (I have to complete the order by June 30), and I decided after I would like to upgrade the memory to 12GB - I had sent an email to shop@jolla.com, but I haven’t seen a reply. It’s a bit unclear to me if I can order the upgrade after the phone order? In the FAQ it kind of implies I can, but at checkout it says it should be ordered with the phone order. Can you advise how I can purchase the upgrade?

@junebob Hey my friend, what I’m going to say is actually something that normally I think wouldn’t really be done, but the possibilities are there. I’m in the September part too, and there is still a gap/opening on Jolla’s site, and I think it might work.

The Jolla September Part 1 site is still active. Even though it doesn’t let you order the phone, the option to add the RAM option from Part 1 to your cart is still active. Logically, to have 12GB next to the 8GB Jolla J2, you could go into the September 1 site and add it, my friend.

But I don’t think you should do this immediately. Maybe they’ll find a solution for you. Or @rainemak, what do you think about this solution? If our friend did something like this, would you send a J2 upgraded to 12GB?

Where did you find the headsets on the Jolla website? The “Jolla phone accessories” page does not contain it (right now) Jolla Phone accessories – Jolla Shop

Hello, I found the headphones in the link they sent to my Gmail to make the full payment, but only visually/in the image it says they will arrive sometime in June. There isn’t any detail about it for now.

Then it’s just a stock image for “phone accessories”, it does not represent any intention to sell headphones or anything particular.

For me that’s a pity, I actually would like Jolla to sell validated accessories. Could be keyboard, DAC, speaker or mic that are guaranteed to be well supported.
