Jolla Phone update - Final payment and towards mass production šŸš€

Validated accessories don’t really make sense if they’re implementing a USB standard, those are by design guaranteed to work with everything that also follows that or one of the compatible USB standards. Hopefully they do implement a modern one, the ā€œcompatibleā€ (i.e. not USB standard but USB compatible) devices are the worst and that’s where you can run into issues of things not working with each other.

Branding is a different thing.

I have as @junebob ordered a phone in march, and likewise mailed Jolla about get to upgrade it to 12 Mb but no answer, so, well i followed the link you provided and have ordereded the €50 upgrade for like an hour ago so maybe it works. Time will tell.

On the website it clearly still says upgrade still available. What is there to guess or ask?

Half of the forum ordered accessories after completing the order so they have to check each order and refund double shipping anyway, so I doubt they will forget the upgrade options.

Hello. I’m also wondering if the jolla Phone day one celebration event of the 8 July is still maintained ?

Same thing, I just add memory addition on the order for mine in the September batch. I could imagine that this increase in memory would have been prevented if it were no longer possible

I have a JBL-headset with a microphone and it works with listening music, but not with phonecalls. Something to consider and checking out the functionality before buying. I have no idea what causes this, though.

When can I expect to get information regarding the event? The less time I have to make reservations for the trip the less probable I can join.

I am new to the community and have no experience with SailfishOS yet. This is going to be my first.

I do not know how many are waiting for this info but for me is quite crucial for logistics reason.

My personal advice is to lower your expectations and just make your plans now without delaying any further to show up. Don’t expect to have your questions answered therefore if any do happen to get answered, it will be a success. If anything, at least you will have your Jolla handed out to you. Maybe do a tour of the city with the historian @rhampf on here offering the tour and network with any SFOS users during the tour.

I raised this question for community meeting. You can join and ask additional questions if you wish: Community meeting on 18th June 2026 - #8 by CLMA31

Thanks for raising this, I could not attend at that time but based on the minutes of meeting we have confirmation of getting the devices on place and that it will not be in the morning.
#sailfishos-meeting: Sailfish OS, open source, collaboration – 18th June 2026

Yes, I would take that as a confirmation for those things

I ordered the September batch, when can I expect to do my final payment? I ordered in the end of march. I apologise if this has already been answered.

Probably some time after the Jolla Phone Day1 -event. I’m sure there will be a new topic opened, when the emails start going out.

Which September Batch are you in? I’m in September 1 batch and have already gotten an e-mail to complete my order

Looks like I’m in September II

So has any flip cover option emerged yet, semi-official or third party?

Likely obvious question. J2 still available after having surpassed Oct 2000/batch?

I imagine available in preorder until major release ?

A Jolla employee said on this forum they’ll continue supporting the community with pre-orders in small Batches (this way they can adapt to rapidly changing prices of the RAM and other components).

When the October batch is sold out, the total number of devices sold will be at 15500. I remember reading an article in a Finnish newspaper about the business life in Salo, which also mentioned Jolla and said, that they were ready to assemble up to 20000 devices this year.
