Hopefully! Personally I hope they first invest 80-90% of their energy to finetune existing things and making those better and more reliable. But wouldn’t mind new things either, especially more emojis would be major life quality improvement for me.

Mine arrived yesterday too. Got into SailfishOS pretty fast and I love the how clean it is. I thought I will have problems with the hole gesture control, but it feels really good and intuitive. It runs smooth and without any major problems. The only problems I noticed so far are that it seem like the wifi connection/antennas are not that good (only one bar where two other devices has four) and connecting bluetooth headphone while music is playing results in broken/crackling sound in the headphones.

Can you guys Post your preorder batch-Numbers XXXX please?

So we can Track Progress

Mine is listed in the community shipping tracker

I do believe tracker is quite far behind according what I last time cheked!

Yep, but it gives a feeling. But my Batch #1 order 52XX is still stuck in Confirmed.

I’ve been updating it daily. If it is behind compared to what users are reporting here, that’s due to the data set not being as comprehensive for batch 2. Not much I can do about that other than encouraging people to participate in the CST.

edit: To give you an idea: over half of the entries in the community shipping tracker are from batch 1. Batch 1 was very much over-represented compared to other batches with entries in the CST representing 7% of total pre-orders in batch 1 (batch 2 is at 3% of total pre-orders in batch 2). That made batch 1 data much more comprehensive compared to batch 2 (or even batch 3 and beyond).

If someone didn’t update or updated their entry late, chances were that someone else covered the same data, we have that luxury less and less as the amount of entries per batch grows thinner and thinner.

I just received mine (#66XX, shipped about a week ago) all good now after having some trouble getting aurora to work. Received the TOH too, nice.

I also ordered the glass screen protector but I has a possibly dumb question. After peeling the packaging film off the screen I can see there is another clear plastic layer, couple spots of dust under it, looks to be a basic screen protector.
I was gonna peel it off before fitting the glass but just wanted to double check I’m not about to do something stupid?

First impressions, I like it. I wasn’t really hyped and was keeping expectations under control. I’m sure I’m yet to run into some issues due to it being a niche product, but it’s working and I finally have a linux phone without having to cobble one together. Build quality is good and I appreciate the square edges and bigger bulk than most modern phones. I don’t feel like it’s constantly about to ping out of my hand.

Yeah, it’s basic screen protector.

Yes, you are supposed to take it off, if you install glass screen protector.

To be honest I would say to remove it regardless.
I understand that most people get super protective with smartphones for some reason, but even that thin film really ruins the swipe feeling with the sharp edges.

So if you are not living with constant fear than your screen will break, do yourself a favor and remove the film.
If not, enjoy the mortadella slicer feeling on the edges I guess

Good morning,

My apologies to everyone. I signed up for Baych#1. On July 21st, I received an email from Jolla with the shipment tracking. However, the tracking hasn’t been found: the label was created, but the goods haven’t been received for shipping. I’ve tried contacting Jolla several times and in various ways, but they’ve never responded. Is anyone else in the same situation?

Thank you.

Yes i think you have got more than one email, as it was the same in my case.

The different emails contains different tracking numbers from posti.

only one of them is the right one.

Thanks for your reply!
I’ll check again, but I think I only received a tracking code. Anyway… it’s been a month; if they’d actually shipped it, it would have arrived by now, right?
What I don’t understand is why they’re not responding…

Hi, please check the status of your order in the shop – see the link below.
You should find the correct Posti link there.
There is currently a backlog of several weeks for email enquiries.
Did you perhaps place the order and make the payment using two different email addresses? If so, please use the one you used to register with the shop, the one Jolla has been contacting you on.
PS: I’ve also received two tracking numbers.
I hope this helps.

Thanks, felt sure but only stupid question is the one you regret not asking…

The glass protector is a nice upgrade, the applicator also very cool. Not had one come like that before.

I bet you feel better now, than those few people, who applied their glass protector on top of the plastic stock factory protector
