Maybe you have something like this (UAC 1 vs 2, WLAN interference? ) discussed in this thread and the linked ones?
I pre-ordered mine mid-August, and I am very excited, finally a proper Linux phone. Can I see based on my order number which batch I am in?
I would guess the October batch which was delayed to November.
Any idea on how I check my shipping address? The billing address is my actual address, but I used to get stuff sent to my old work place, because it was safer than home⦠but I donāt work there any more and I canāt find a āprofileā in the shop for my account. The documents so far only list billing address. Iām 99.9% sure that itāll get sent to my billing address, but that 0.1% is niggling at me, especially with something that costs this kind of money. Grateful for any advice on this please.
Oh, and for info, the outstanding on my phase 3 order was taken this morning. Paypal receipt landed, but nothing further from Jolla yet. Waiting patiently.
You should get/have gotten an email āOrder #XXXXX confirmedā after fully paying your order.
That email should contain an area āCustomer informationā with your Shipping address and your Billing address (in my case both were identical, nevertheless shown separately).
If you go to your profile on the Shopify store and open the order details (for the final phone order, not the pre-order voucher), you should see a āship toā address there. Simply click on the profile/person icon on the top of the page to get to the profile section.
They arenāt there. Last one is an order from 2022⦠and that was a license purchase, so there is no address limited. And there is no icon on the top right when Iām logged into the store.
Are you checking the correct store? Quite confusingly, there are two completely different stores currently running, there is the shop.jolla.com used for the licenses for Xperia, and the newer shopify based commerce.jolla.com that is used for the Jolla Phone orders
Ah! Thatās a little confusing
⦠thanks for that. No shipping address in the order, but only the one address in the profile, so I should be good to go. Thanks very much for that.
Hey, sorry if this was mentioned here before but i just wanted to ask: Similarly to mercurio, i have received the shipping email for my phone, however i still see that the label has been created but package havenāt been recieved yet. Itās true tho that i am in badge two and my phone was shipped on 28th of august so itās not like i have been waiting for it for a month. Still tho i am curious if this is a thing. Like do they create the label on one week and actually send the package later or the posti tracking just kinda doesnāt work or something ? I mean that Shop app for tracking also stopped working for me today so i am wondering if itās just not too reliable or something.
I got the shipping email on Friday 28th. Posti tracking showed all the time that Posti is waiting for a package from the sender. I was suprised to get today a text message that my phone has arrived to the local post. Currently configuring that. Tracking seems to be somewhat unreliable for some season.
Thanks for your reply, this kinda confirms my suspicion and puts me at ease a bit.
Hi everyone. Let me tell you about my experience. When Jolla sends you the phone, they give you two tracking numbers. In my case, the first number showed the order tracking from when it left until it arrived at my house, and the second tracking number always stayed at āwe are waiting for the package.ā As I mentioned, I had problems with the screen of my Jolla, in addition to dust in the camera. Well, when you receive the package, inside there is a new return sticker, which has the second tracking number. I returned my Jolla directly with this sticker that has the second tracking number that says āwe are waiting for the packageā, in my case, DHL takes the package from Spain to Finland, and from there they deliver it to Posti. In other words, Jolla prepares a return shipment in advance and sends us both tracking numbers, And Posti is waiting to receive the return package in case of a return.
Jolla creates the label through API when they process your order. As the package is still at Salo with Jolla, it is marked as Posti is still waiting for it. When Jolla takes all ready-made packages to the Posti, they should scan it and after that it is regular tracking.
There might be more than two tracking code emails, if you ordered (more) accessories as a separate order later, even if they were bundled in one package. But you are right, only one of those tracking codes should get updates on the way to you.
when will be delivered my phone ? order number ![]()

Probably in November.
hm i see, so the theory that they donāt send the phone directly after they create the label is also a possibility. You think it can take them so many days tho ? Or do they send the phones only on a certain day or something ?
And yeah i know i got two emails with two tracking codes and i am checking both of them and they both say they same thing. That the label has been created but Posti is waiting to get the package.
Edit: So i got the notification that it is in Sorting centre in Tampere just now. So the tracking probably works and they just send the phone with a slight delay after creating the label.
Why would they take each package to the Posti one by one as soon as they are finished? Or do you think they take a bunch of finished packages without address labels, go to the Posti and write all the labels themselves by hand, or dictate the details of each shipment to the clerk?
Jolla collects finished packages, whether wait for a certain number of packages, or wait for certain day(s) of the week, and take the packages all at once to the Posti to save time and other costs. Or maybe they order a pick up from Posti?
Nah i just kind of assumed that when the label is created and i recieved the email it means the package is actually already on the way, i mean i guess itās an automated process, right ? When you check the community tracker the shipping notification dates usually appear in waves, meaning a lot of those emails get sent on one day so i think itās not so illogical to think that it might mean that itās also a day where they physically ship a wave of the finished phones. Didnāt want to imply anything negative about Jolla of course, they are doing awesome job, i just canāt wait for my new phone lol.
Yes.
Jolla makes phones in batches, different colors on different days and after that the staff flash them with the newest SFOS image and do QA-tests to them.
I assume, when they have enough phones to ship the next pallet, or the next delivery/pickup date is closing in, they start going through the orders to combine any accessories, that people want with their phones. During that process, Jolla creates the labels, and they might even use them as an easily scannable identifier during the collection, to track that the right items go into each order.
It doesnāt really matter whether Jolla delivers the packages to Posti by themselves, or orders a paid pickup from Posti, in both cases Jolla is balancing between cheaper (per package) costs but infrequent shipments, and more frequent shipments, but more expensive (per package) costs.
Donāt worry, I didnāt see it that way.
Iām just wondering, if this kind of delivery model doesnāt make sense to people, or how they think mass shipping of products should be handled in a similar situation, because people on the forum keep wondering about this āPosti is waiting for the package from the senderā -situation.
