Yes, the screenshot was made before the change.
Yes, they will reply you within a few days
Have you paid exactly €77.77 (zero-rate for reverse charge)?
Maybe am I worried for nothing…
But Isn’t that a bit of a shame for Jolla not to scream and advertise everywhere that they sold 10’000 units already?
It’s party time, after all

If I’d be a new arriving, or a journalist in hurry, not perfectly informed, I might be drawing wrong conclusions when seeing this page.
From the main page to there, it is not said that already 10’000 people trusted Jolla.
They did make a post on mastodon, probably on the other socials as well ![]()
Sending e-mail to shop@jolla.com is enough. Please note that many Sailors are at MWC next week meaning that there will be lead time in replies.
I paid 78,88 €, but yes, I didn’t pay VAT because I added the company EU VAT number.
Oh, ok, I see.
There are probably few people seeing as few social medias as I do.
So, if people are generally informed that Jolla is trusted by many users, it’s good.
But still, IMHO, the page should proudly display something like “After 10’000 pre-orders, here is the…”
Just my two cents
The new campaign ia mentioned on the startpage of hacker news again.
Good publicity ![]()
Oh, would you have the link?
So, we can add it here:
Thanks

If you mean the hacker news link, it is no article. It is the link to the Jolla September pre-order campaign.
And because of the high fluctuation of the front page it will be gone soon.. But here is the comment section link. (Which might not be very helpful)
5 days after the opening of the 1000 piece “production batch”, the first third is ordered now.
I was a bit worried that the increase in price would cause the sales to freeze pretty much but it appears that they are chugging along. I just hope two things. First of all that Jolla manages production without major complications and that the sales numbers are good enough that the Jolla Phone is a financial success.
What we should be worried about after this is the starting price of the next Jolla phone ![]()
You mean what you should be worried about…
I’m not worried, if it’s more, I save for it more..
Well, I assumed it was pretty clear that it was a joke.
But what a shitty way to comeback to someone who might not be able to afford something. Especially since no one replied or talked to you in the first place.
You should look into that.
Let’s face it, this is a luxury item as there are plenty of cheaper phones around.
If you’re buying a Jolla phone, it’s because you want to and choosing to spend the money
I’m in the US but it looks like I can pre order…I’m tempted to but would it get cancelled? (Please let me have this phone)
Pre-order should not get cancelled, but anyway currently they would not send the phone to the US.
The only working option for you is to use mail forwarder somewhere in the EU.
But Jolla Phone doesn’t have FCC approval yet, so you’ll play a lottery with customs.
Frustrating. So little option wise here. I reaaaaallly hope they bring it to the US sooner than later. It’s about the only useable Linux phone. Flx1s comes close but the hardware is so much worse than the Jolla phone
If you know someone in Europe that you trust, you should be able to order a delivery to their place with c/o-address, and then plan a vacation or business trip to Europe and pick up your phone from them. On the way back, you can just carry it through customs as your personal phone, and it should count as part of your baggage, that doesn’t need to be cleared through customs.
I assume, that in this scenario you have to pay VAT according to your friend’s local VAT rate.
