I ordered also…. (but I will miss the headphone jack)
Will it depend on an Android-Kernel?

Thank you for never giving up! I’m looking forward to using a true Jolla Phone again.
So no eSIM? For a “roaming-ready” device, roaming prices are often massively better on eSIM providers.
Or is there a simple way to have eSIM capability on a physical nano-SIM?
Fantastic, this will cause me to not miss notifications again! I’m using the Xperia 10 V right now (with LineageOS, but I want to return to SFOS on a better supported device) and I’m missing it dearly.
Sailfish doesn’t support eSim actually. I think they dont want to promise to get it ready till then.
I tipped GSMArena for this… they are often pig ignorant of anything truly interesting and unique happening in the scene, so let’s see if they cover this in any way. There is probably a thousand Chinese phones on the line already, so I don’t have high hopes…
Edit: And they actually DID cover the new Jolla launch on their news, awesome!
Ah, damn it. Too broke to buy. Ah, sigh.
Disappointed it’s not able to be ordered into the USA at this time, but very encouraged at the willingness to plan for USA bands in the future. Shipping and logistics are expensive, so I understand. But I’d still like to be able to help get the 2000 order minimum met ![]()
There are esim adapters on the market that can be used to host an esim. Unfortunately you would need access to an Android or iPhone device to configure the esim.

Preordered. I think the specs are great and the phone itself looks great!
Can’t wait!

Let’s celebrate!
Thank you! That’s correct.
Cool, I’m thinking about it. Looks nice, a good nod to the JP1301!!, the poppy red is nice, but do update that twisty wallpaper…maybe a community competition for designing a new Ambience for the new device?
One little typo I noticed in the blurb, under “Privacy by Design… turn off YOU microphone…”
done: preordered
I hope that audio will support USB-C → 3.5" Jack
Just ordered three. One main, one backup, one backup-backup. Cheap way of giving a LONG middle-finger to eavesdropping unmentionable big tech out west.
Good news. Pre-ordered now.
Looks good and the price (500) isn’t outlandish. Placed an order.
I quite like the twisty wallpaper, it fits the orange nicely. Oh well, it’s a matter of taste.
I like it, but it was present on Jolla1.
BTW I’m curious about the capabilities/specs of the USB-C port…
