Hoping the 2000 unit target is reached quickly.
I hope it can be waterproof enough to survive the usual accidents.
This phone can run on steam for all I care..
I just want to have a phone that is not a boring glas slab, can be opened easily and can do the basics well enough.
Nice to see new activity on the hardware side. Hopefully not a tablet disaster again.
Preordered, but I have some points to complain:
Who is using a Micro-SIM today? Nano-SIM + eSIM (for roaming providers) would more reasonable.
Why to wide lens camera, instead of one wide one tele?
I don’t need a Privacy Switch, and would favor a Headphone jack instead.
I will consider whether to buy the J2 or not during the weekend.
Is the pre-order batch exactly 2000 units, or will you keep pre-sales open for full month even past the inital 2000 unit threshold? And if you keep the pre-sales open, will those extra sales be delivered in the same production batch as the original 2000 units?
The only real let down for me is the notch. Is the exterior design with that notch finalised?
One could disable it in software, by leaving the pixels left and right of it black. ![]()
Only just noticed the micro-SIM instead of nano-SIM, that’s a really odd choice to say the least
Does the screen will be 120 Hz ? There is no information on the presentation.
I can’t go back on a 60 Hz screen ![]()
Sorry, too big for me. And that protunding cam… i don’t need to use the phone to crush the nuts…
But i’m happy tha many people like and buy it. I stay with my 10 iii as long as it lives
Also, will we get double tap to wake (a classic Jolla feature)?
Marketing buzzword maybe?
Wrong. A hardware privacy switch is much more than a software switch. E.g. the hardware switch works even when the device is hacked. Learn more here:
Why? I never understood that hype for 120Hz screen. What is the real use of it? It just eats battery.
agreed. nice to have confirmed.
can i swap over my sim, or do i have to get a new one when the time comes?
For me it is somehow: https://imgur.com/a/YyZtoKe
With right and reason a Jolla 2; the design is quite similar to the Jolla 1. The size is also good. I will order one next week.
The website states User configurable physical Privacy Switch - so how could it be user configurable if it was a real hardware switch?
Sorry, there was a mistake in the spec – we clarified and fixed it. So, dual nano-SIM + separate micro SDXC. Thank you for pointing out.
