I recommend you read specs and benchmarks yourself and not oversimplify.
Sunday evening: 2347 pre-orders reached in a few days. Congratulations Jolla!
This means: ‘it giet oan’.
(Frisian for: ‘it is going to start’. In the past announced when natural ice was strong enough so a big ice skating match along eleven Frisian cities could begin.)

Edit: correction by @rpaugusto : C2 is Reeder S19 Maxpro S, Unisoc T606
The Mediatek Dimensity 7000 series is also an option. Another crowdfunded phone recently released is the Unihertz Titan 2 which has a Dimensity 7300 which is speed wise also fine.
you cannot disable 120Hz currently on sfos and SFOS is bugged on 120Hz (everything is at double speed, think of it like bethesda games being tied to 60fps)
The form ask for your VIES (EU VAT number). If you are registered as a intracomunitarian operator it won’t charge you the VAT so you will have to settle it with your country’s tax department. I put mine and I didn’t pay the VAT for the preorder.
I am worried about the support of VoLTE for this mobile with my telecomunications company Digi Mobil. They uses the antennas of Movistar company in Spain and in my Sony Xperia 10 III it VoLTE works for Movistar but it doesn’t for Digi. I tried copying Movistar files to create a Digi config but no success.
Actually the C2 is a rebadged Reeder S19 Pro Max S, and is based on a Unisoc T606.
#181 rating 24: Unisoc T606
I also have a Digi SIM in my C2 in Portugal, and VoLTE doesn’t work either. No issues with a NOS SIM.
Im in USA my preorder went through just fine
I wonder how will you provide the shipping address at the time of delivery though.
I had to put the address in when placeing the preorder.
But i just feel once they realize orders went through they will just refund the preorder money i know a few others who placed orders from USA i was so excited didnt read to see it wasnt USA market yet but i had to input the address and they took the preorder based off that information
Great! With reports from @rpaugusto and @MeeGo-Junky ( VoLTE support in SailfishOS? - #396 by MeeGo-Junky ) that VoLTE works with NOS in Portugal (and not with DIGI), I might decide to switch later on when I receive my new Jolla Phone.
2621 already! I think that @Jolla should communicate about the situation. It is already way more than 2000 when there was few spots left in the first patch. Unclear situation might make people a bit hesitant to take the plunge. Will the first patch be bigger? How big? …
They always do that somehow. They word things in a way that leaves way too much room for interpretation instead of anticipating questions that everyone knows will 100% come up.
I’ve just bought a Xperia 10 III on ebay but ordered the J2 regardless. ![]()
It reminds me too much of the beautiful original Jolla phone to not want to miss the opportunity.
Why that hurry ?
28 days more to come
Delivery date stated as mid of 2026
Spec not even 100% fixed and you are talking about batches
I want it to get as big as possible and I think it is essential to remove any unnecessary mental barriers that might prevent pressing the pre-order button.
There is obviously good bit of momentum already. This is the time to build on it. Not to slow it down. IMHO
There is a lot of misinformation about Sailfish on social media so every little helps.
Like that they will again scam people out of their money like they did with the tablet.
Or the fallout from the YouTube Video “Worst Phone I Ever Bought” by a guy that bought a broken, 10 years old Jolla phone and whines that the manufacturer does not want to fix it for free.
