Jolla Phone 2026 for sale in the UK

Phone arrived on Friday (2026-08-14). Used for 24 hours and it’s really not my cup of tea unfortunately. It’s a batch #1 12/256GB phone with white back. Details of my order below. Not shown but included is the inari blue launch edition back. Total cost to me was £612.12 which includes the deposit (€78.88) and import taxes (£94.08). I’d be happy with £550 + postage. It’s as new but I’ll post photos if required. Thanks.

Hello, if I’m not interrupting your discussion, what was it that you didn’t like after using it for 24 hours that made you decide to sell it? If you’d like to explain, I’d be happy to hear about it.

These are not criticisms of the phone which I liked, the display is better than my old pixel and the android integration is exceptional IMO with only one non-essential app not working for me. I was coming around to the UI though the higher number of clicks and gestures (in some apps) required to achieve similar tasks to android is annoying and something that I assume would be addressed over time.

Deal breakers for me:

  • Lack of contactless payments
  • VoWifi - I don’t have good mobile coverage at home
  • Hardware auth, yubikey specifically which I cannot do without for work

I’m an old(er) Linux user, coming up to 30 years now, and bought the phone on spec after seeing an article about it. It turns out I’m too wedded to my android comforts to put up with these short comings. Suddenly finding i couldn’t pay for fuel whilst out yesterday was the nail in the coffin.

I am honestly amazed how common the contactless payments complaint is.

Where I live, you must legally carry your driver’s license with you in order to drive a car to a petrol station. It is no more heartache to also carry your debit card.

Anyway, good on you for giving it a go! Shame it’s not for you, but can’t win 'em all.

Yes, in this situation I definitely understand you. Because of some difficult circumstances, it ends up remaining as a second phone. There were actually forum posts saying that issues like contactless payments would be addressed, and if you don’t really need the money, I think you shouldn’t sell it and leave this platform. That’s just my opinion, because as things progress, yes, this phone really isn’t some phone that’s 100% insanely optimized in every single way, but this place is also a bit like an adventure, and I’d like you to look at and see that side of it too.

I’m saying this because, after all, once you sell this phone, whether you want to or not, you’ll probably stop following this platform. I just wanted to offer my suggestion from that perspective as well, but of course it’s still your decision. Thank you for taking your valuable time to reply to me.

Actually, this might seem silly from the outside, but let me put it this way: there’s this idea that once you get used to a feature, you can’t give it up. Our friend, for example, started losing interest in the phone because he was having a hard time dealing with situations like these. That’s exactly why Samsung recently introduced its own payment card. Was it really necessary? Couldn’t Samsung users live without it? Of course they could. But Samsung got involved in this too so it wouldn’t fall behind other brands.

Yes, you are of course correct. I suppose it is just a “feature” I personally never was interested in or found a use for. Given I carry my wallet everywhere anyway, I never understood the convenience.

VoWiFi on the other hand, I can certainly see how that is a feature that could be utilised by many which is sadly lacking on SFOS.

If no one’s taken you up on it by the end of September, ping me and I might have someone who’ll be interested.

In some places, ID documents can be replaced by a government app. As you now can pay digitally for a 50 cent coffee, you can make your life without a wallet. Additionally, mobile payments are protected by the phone authentication, while a card lets a thief pay contactless without a PIN.

Anyway I appreciate that the original poster explained their reasons, and is not trying to make a profit out of it.

Portugal. It would cost 60 cents in the street but my work canteen has it for 40 cents.

Sorry. Off topic. 2.60 € at my work. But I remember the last time in Portugal.

Pricing is indeed fair.
But can I ask you why you don’t simply send it back to Jolla? You have a 30 days window to send back the phone, as far as it is in perfect state.
I think it’s less hassle for you, rather than finding a buyer?

I wasn’t aware I could. I have just looked into it, thanks. If I don’t have any takers by the end of this week then that’s probably the route I’ll take. I’ll look into claiming back the import taxes but just the thought of having to deal with the UK’s HMRC has raised my heart rate.

@tipmethewink @yusssufff Our conversations have been misunderstood in a very, very different way, so let’s go over this because I don’t want to cause any confusion.

As for the discussion about returns, we couldn’t explain the details very clearly before, so let’s clarify them now. Under Jolla’s return policy, the return process is mainly intended for products that have not been opened, or for situations where, after opening the product, it turns out to be defective, broken, non-functional, or the package has suffered serious damage.

In this person’s case, however, the product is clean and working properly; the issue is simply that they did not like the product. Ah, no, unfortunately a product cannot be returned for that kind of reason. If the product had just arrived and they had not removed the protective film, opened anything, or used it at all, then I’m sure a return would have been possible. But in this case, the reason for the return is basically, “I used the product and I didn’t like it.” That kind of return does not apply.

If you read this article, I think it becomes much clearer.

Back to the original plan then, thanks for the update.

Hi @PolatBirdal , i think your statements are innaccurate.

Here is the quotes from Jolla’s last newsletter:

[quote=“Jolla, post:1, topic:31829”]

#### Cancellations, Refunds and Returns

We’d like to remind on our [Return & Refund Policy]( Refund policy – Jolla Shop ), which provides that you can cancel anytime simply using the [Withdrawal Form]( Withdrawal form – Jolla Shop ) and in addition we have a 30-day Return & Refund Policy from the day you receive the phone. No questions asked and always welcome back :heart_hands:

Therefore not liking the product is sufficient, defect is not necessary, ‘‘no questions asked’’ is the philosophy.
