Now I have create a patch (EN/DE) only for Xperia 10III, because some from my special cpu settings are lost at reboot. If the resonance good, I can share it on the webcatalog from patchmanager.

Looking good!

The governor settings and many other sysfs variables are set in ‘init.lena.rc’. If changed in the file, they survive a reboot.

Hello - after 2 weeks intensive testing with all cpu-settings at a X10III , I can share my experience:

  1. The sleepmode from cores makes more energy consumption as without suspending, because the cores at a X10III are switch so often up and down. This was a surprise for me but no changeable.

  2. I found out that on openrespos was an atlatic browser and this app installed at my phone secret a cpu-boost app (service) called Qualcoom – I uninstalled it and without its better because it was abooster called ‘sfos-qcom-boost.service’. Its not possible to uninstall qcom alone. First you have to uninstall the browser, or you use the terminal with devel-su pkcon remove sfos-qcom-boost

  3. I found also, that I had insalled a old X10III cpu patch from here: https://forum.sailfishos.org/t/the-bluetooth-crazy-cpu-usage-creates-battery-drain-solved/16070 and https://coderus.openrepos.net/pm2/project/x10ii-iii-udev-rules-fixing an I uninstalled it and run after it follow terminal command: systemctl restart systemd-udev

  4. The original governor after switching govonors ondemand an back schedule with mce are:

  1. After a reboot the file init.lena.pwr.rc make follow settings but they not hold long an go back to the settings under point 4:

  1. The suspend settings are original at “mcetool -senabled” but the sleep mode goes every time up and down. The setting “mcetool -sdisabled” is better for the battery lifetime.
  2. My best results are with follow settings:
pkcon remove sfos-qcom-boost
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/policy0/scaling_governor "ondemand"
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/policy0/schedutil/hispeed_freq 1248000
/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpufreq/policy0/scaling_min_freq 300000

mcetool --set-cpu-scaling-governor=automatic
mcetool -sdisabled or mcetool --set-suspend-policy=disabled
no patch X10ii-iii-udev-rules-fixing
systemctl restart systemd-udev

I have now generated or updated a patch with it can everybody play and save own settings or go back to factory settings. Maybe I will share it today in the evening. But is only for the Sony X10III and I am afraid that anybody use it under other hardware.

Good morning, now I had upload my patch for an easy playing with the Sony Xperia 10III CPU settings.

What I also found was, that some systemd services are stucked on my phone and this needs battery. I add also this in the patch and now you can see hanging services and reset it.

This patch is only made for a X10III. Don’t check it on other hardware. I make a check in the patch and all buttons should be disabled on other phones but I could not test it.

Thanks! I’m just wondering, you wrote that the ‘automatic’ mcetool frequency scaling governor gave you best results. Yet, when applying optimized settings, it is set to ‘performance’?

Yes it my false, the slider automatic or power do not work if you use ondemand. And so its not interest what is choosen. Mce can only set the automatic or power for for the governor schedutil. I will grey this slider if schedutil is not set in the next update. But the slider sleep mode works also in ondemand.

The battery time is longer now but the effect is not so high if I had wished. Now I will search the file for the radio power from Wifi and BT. Maybe it this also to high in the standard settings….
