Finnish OP-Mobiili

Thank you, work-around worked after restart and reinstallation of op-mobiili. Somewhat annoying that with every their update problems seem to appear within Sailfish-OS + android.

Worked for me to; I did:

$ devel-su sh -c 'echo kernel.yama.ptrace_scope = 0 > /etc/sysctl.d/91-opmobiili.conf'

and then (to activate without rebooting):

$ devel-su sysctl -w kernel.yama.ptrace_scope=0

so thanks to all involved (ascii smile)

I just upgraded to 74, it still crashes on my Xperia 10 III. I don’t know if it’s on sailfish (as I’m sure op is making sure it work on more standard android systems) or if it’s on op side (because it’s literally the only app that do that to me). I’m filing a bug report to op as this thread is already a report on for jolla. Hopefully a fix would come from somewhere…

I have a contact from OP dev team and maybe @vige contacted them as well. That said, they are well aware and hopefully we find a solution together.

Please check also the solution provided by @avhakola

Can confirm the app works on C2, with the solution kindly mentioned by @avhakola and @domo141 .

I tried earlier to only write the conf file and reboot, but the app still used to crash at start. I found that in my case, the solution very likely was setting the ptrace_scope to zero manually, instead of writing the conf file and simply rebooting the device.

The problem persists on OP Mobiili version 75.0.2. The app cannot be started on the Jolla C2 even when microG is present.

However, the solution of domo141 works.

I got my Jolla 2026. I ‘m trying to survive without Android apps but OP banking apps is one that I need. Installed OP Mobiili 84.0.0 (10105) on Jolla Sailfish OS 5.2.0.16.

App starts, shows OP logo and when I click on yellow start button it crash/disappears. S-bank app works fine. Anybody else having same problem?

Did you try the fix that worked for the previous poster?

devel-su sh -c 'echo kernel.yama.ptrace_scope = 0 > /etc/sysctl.d/91-opmobiili.conf'

devel-su sysctl -w kernel.yama.ptrace_scope=0

Hey, totally newbie Sailfish OS (and owner of brand new Jolla Phone 2026) user here. Have anyone succesfully installed and used OP Mobiili app on device?

App opens but crashes after I choose Start button in app. Installed from Aurora Store. I have added Google account to Settings → Accounts

Happy to help debugging this if you give pointers where (and how) to look relevant logs etc. I use linux as my OS primary in day-to-day stuff but this mobile linux stuff is totally new to me.

Neste app also have similar crashing problem but thats not for this topic.

Thanks!

Is there a specific build of the OP app that works today?

I’ve been trying the ptrace hack, but it only makes the app (85.0.1) crash a few seconds later than without it.

Pretty frustrating as this one thing stopping me from actually using the phone.
