I tested Bouygues Telecom: The volte does not work. But the reception of mms and sms is ok. Sends sms only. Nothing to do for the mms. I took a new operator (sfr). The volte works as well as reception of sms and mms. But sending mms and sms does not work. I give up the Storage part of the C2. Replace with XA2. I tested the flow rate on several types of device under sailfishOs the worst flow rate is the C2. I didn’t really care about not being able to send an sms or mms. But in terms of flow rate it’s slow. So not yet usable. But on the other hand on the orange operator it works superbly well.
this is missing on the C2, there is no vendor gps.conf in the files as far as I can find, there is a dbus com.jollamobile.gps.conf but that is about it
would you mind posting the entire gps.conf content of your device?
I darkly remember that I read somewhere in the forum, this file has now changed it’s location on recent SFOS version, but unfortunately forgot where the new location is.
This is the file’s content on my old X10 SFOS 4.5.0.24:

awesome thanks probably need to figure out first what device the /dev/… the gps is on for the C2, i installed and tried running gpsd manually on /dev/ttyS2 but while GPS shows active no location is found, and gpsd service cannot be started, maybe on SailfishOS it is using a different service?
devel-su gpsd /dev/ttyS2 -F /var/run/gpsd.sock
that means on the C2 mobile tower assisted GPS works (since it got the location for me running OSM Scout when I had a SIM inserted), now I am only using Wifi and wanted to run the GPS by itself
I looked for the /etc/geoclue/geoclue.conf as well and geoclue.conf is not available on the C2, what I found so far is /etc/location.conf
with includes lines…
enabled=true
gps/enabled=true
mls/enabled=true (probably the mozilla service)
…
allowed_data_sources\device_sensors=true
…
allowed_data_sources\gps=true
…
Ok it actually worked just leaving the phone sitting for 40min or so with location active in the same spot exposed to the sky!
I’ve tested in GPS-only mode. And things may be different on new C2 hardware.
…
14. On daily alarm activation when selecting the volume up/down switch, while phone is locked, the alarm is not muted, or volume reduced.
not for me for MMS and no GPS (C2 with os 5.0.0.43)
Hello yes I know. It’s a small package. The exact operator is a Coriolis virtual operator on the SFR network. I confirm that it would have worked. But nothing to do
Hello, est-ce que vous pourriez me donner votre config mms car chez moi j’ai une erreur de récupération des mms (Problème de téléchargement du message). Merci par avance.
I can’t use the camera’s flash because it’s either badly positioned or badly calibrated. When activated, it creates a white halo in the bottom left-hand corner of the photo.
This could be an effect of some (bad) covers.
It seems to distribute the flashlight to the lens.
A fix could be using an Edding pen to darken the inner surface of the flash cutout of the cover.
Another interesting read about this:
Just cut the cover in part between Flash and lens. It helps tremendously.
Even if I don’t find this very serious, I thank you for your reply.
The sound quality is mediocre and too high-pitched. Is there a software solution to make it better?
It’s very serious from me. It works for me. And some others as well.
What’s not serious is that it was not tested and fixed. Luckily there are also other covers available (3rd party).
Specifically to Revolut could you do it without HMS Core? Or what was your setup and what version are you on?
I am on Xperia 10 III so i may have issue with the rooting generally as well, but maybe your experience can help a bit.
