And in comparison to Cell Broadcast you have the advantage that you can check the warnings also after you dismissed the notification. The specification of Cell Broadcast is really stupid wrt.

@direc85 good point, thanks! No I was not aware about this fact because. Nobody can remember which network there logged in.
@MartiMasaKoegx thank you for raising up this app. It is a possibility but it would be very nice to have a smartphone which is able to receive the message without any app. In my case it is probably the case but the connection/network was just not fitting.

No sound, thats the only difference between the sfos- and the android-implementation. On android it even makes sound when the DND/mute is active.
My coworkers with andoid complain about when you close the message, theres no way to see it in the message-app or anywhere in the system.
I had two devices set up for the alarm test
An Xperia 10 III (sailfish x 4.5.0.24) with a SIM Card from o2 (newer) ā No Alarm at all
An Xperia XZ3 (community port 4.5.0.21) with a SIM Card from o2 (quite old) ā Dialog showing without sound. (Same as in fingus post)
After dismissal the message is not retrievable (same behaviour like on iOS and Android)

Got the message loud and clear on an Android phone without a SIM card.
No message at all on the Xperia 10 iii running Sailfish X 4.5.0.21 (Struven ketju) with a Vodafone network (vendor: Klarmobil) SIM card (4G).
Ditto, 4.5.0.24.
Volla22/GS5, nothing.
My sons android scared the living bājesus out of me. One minute later, the sirens sounded outside.
No allert on 10iii with latest release and AldiTalkā¦

The āall-clear-messageā was never send through Cell-Broadcast as mentioned on:

Xperia 10 III, 4.5.0.25, no message at all.
With the community FxTec Pro1 port last year I got at least a message shown.
As this appears depend on the specific device, how about we open up specific bug reports for the devices that do nothing at all?
It is a bit unclear what causes the different systems to show or not show the warning. This seems to depend not only on device, but also on provider and even region.

Requirements to receive/display Cell-Broadcast messages:
- OS that supports TS 23.041 : Sailfish OS: (ok)
- (optional): OS that supports 3 and 4 digits CB-Message IDās in specific countries: Sailfish OS: (ok)
- active login into cell, no flight-mode, no dead-zone exact at the moment the cell sends cell broadcast (no repetition/re-sending)
- firmware of the manufacturer has to support CB. That is the most critical thing, because even within the same series there are models with firmware support and models without firmware support, e.g. Sony Xperia XA2 (single SIM, model H3113) does not support CB, Xperia XA2 (Plus dual/Ultra dual model H4413, H4213) do support CB

same with my Xperia 10 III, an improvement to the last test, where nothing happened.
