Please Jolla allow 4 character passwords.
Why insist 5 characters?
All other devices in the world accept 4 characters.

I wouldn’t agree with that. Even Android devices have switched from 4-digit pin codes to 6-digit pin codes.

That is indeed unfortunate. And I thought I managed to get past the unresponsive screen. I am also locked in this situation of a 4-digit PIN.

same here please help us past the bug or tell us how to factory reset the device?

Indeed, 1 / 1 is 100%

But I think with mine and @hopey cases we are like 3 / 3 now

same here, “C2” first start, setup with 4 chars, update choosen, restart, 5 chars security…

Dear Jolla, this is nonsens!

How to set the C2 into factory setting?

Yes, my wording “all devices” was not correct. “Only” the vast majority of devices allow 4 digit passcode. Including bank/pay cards, safety deposits, iphones, pretty much any mobile app, Windows and the list goes on and on…

Even though newest Android phones would insist 6 digit, it doesn’t make the case for Jolla to insist 5 digit (or the weird combination of sometimes allowing 4 digit). Just allow 4 digit always and this whole chaos is over with.

I still have access to an updated Android device which well works with 4 digits.
