[4.5.0.16][Xperia 10 III]Deactivating empty SIM2 slot deactivates data for SIM1

DESCRIPTION:

I have got only one sim card in slot SIM1. So I want to deactivate SIM2. When I do so in settings, it deactivates data from SIM1. If I turn flight mode on then off, data can be reactivated on SIM1

PRECONDITIONS:

Having both SIM card solts activated (after boot f.i.)
Having a sim card in slot 1, none in slot 2.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Go to settings β†’ SIM Cards: deactivate SIM Card 2
  2. Go to Settings β†’ Mobile data: can’t activate Web/prepaid
  3. Turn flight mode on and off
  4. Go to Settings β†’ Mobile data: can activate Web/prepaid

EXPECTED RESULT:

Deactivating sim 2 should not deactivate data on sim 1

ACTUAL RESULT:

Deactivating sim 2 deactivates data on sim 1

In my case deactivating SIM2 not just disables SIM1 data but actually deactivates the whole SIM1, including calls. It takes a reboot to fix it, i.e. have SIM2 disabled but SIM1 correctly working.

Workaround:

  • Turn off SIM2
  • Switch SIM1 to 2G/3G in network settings
  • Wait for data connection to be established
  • Switch SIM1 back to 4G

Repeat when 4G loses data connection.
