that explain a lot
(no offense)
in short,
*we have wired hifi headphones or home audio amplifiers, or cars without bluetooth, or new cars supporting only android or apple!
- bt transition drains more battery because of encoding and then powering bt antenna
- batteries in headphones get drained in time when you want to listen and not charge…
- batteries in headphones will die sooner or later and you can trash headphones or pay for service replacement same or higher price as for the new ones…
not much vendors these days provide analog output on usb-c, instead you must use DAC usb-c → jack and the quality of these dongles is mostly tragic
- btw i am not sure if SFOS detect usb-c dac and route sound to the dongle …
anyway if the masses can listen music from phone loadspeaker and they are happy, they are happy even with shitty bt headphones… it is hard to live in this age where standards for quality are defined for the deaf people ![]()
it is just sad situation with jp-2 for most people as it is step back with no jack out… i still use jp-1 with sfos1.1.7.29 because it is still fine phone for my needs because im not person who has glued phone to hands 24/7 … (also streaming radio works without lags - they messed it in sf2 or sf3 Jolla Mediaplayer: Stuttering Internetradio … ) well it has good DAC and was much better than many generations of iphones what i compared on same headphones and same flac songs…
