I have an Xperia 10 V (XQ-DC54) with Android 15 and would like to install SailFish. The installation requirements state that Android 14 is required. Since I am unable to download a free version of Sailfish, I would naturally like to know whether the installation will be successful before I purchase a license.
You don’t need to purchase a licence to test Sailfish OS. You can “purchase” a free licence, but you won’t have access to Android AppSupport, OTA updates and other things.

It worked. I hope I can install it via Android 15.
I really wouldn’t do that unless someone who knows it to work tells you so.
Those instructions are there for a reason.

See Fastboot flashing of Xperia 10 IV and 10 V - Here you can see that already other community members successfully flashed SFOS 5.0.0.72 on a Sony Xperia 10 V with Android 15.

Yes, but I wouldn’t call it a daily driver.
I successfully installed Sailfish on the xq-dc54, but unfortunately the camera does not work.
