I too have the Sailfish OS on Sony Xperia 10 V, but as far as I know, there is no licence for that yet. I hope it comes soon

I’m going to wait, I’m not going to ask for a refund. Maybe by the end of the year we’ll have a license for the 10V At the moment it’s a disaster. My xperia 10 III which doesn’t work very well anymore, My C2 which froze. And my 10 V not yet at the top. I’m going to use my 10V 100% SailfishOS without android. We’ll see

I think it is impossible to have bought a 10V licence.
But as you mentioned the C2, I think I understand the misunderstanding I believe you have.
As a requirement for the C2 preorder, there was a €50 payment in front. This is as much as a recent Sailfish X licence used to be. At the same time, the C2 comes with a subscription, where you have purchased a licence for a year included in the price of the phone.

So you have purchased a license, but it was a licence for the C2.
There is, previous to your payment for the C2 and shipping, been a recent payment to jolla for the same amount a Sailfish X subscription used to cost, but that is also payment for the C2.

The 10V will also come with a subscription model. No single up front cost.

Good evening,
no I bought a C2
that I sent back to jollyboys
because it froze like about fifty of us.

My Xperia 10III does not work very well.
I had an X10V
that I flashed thinking that we could buy a license for this model but that is not the case.
I think I bought a license for nothing.

Yes, as it doesn’t exist yet.

Jolla has changed that after response from the community.

yes but the Jolla site is poorly done.
when you go to the site to buy a sailfishos license, Jolla
does not specify for what type of device.
it is after having bought it that you are offered to download a firmware for xperia 10, XA2, 10 plus, 10 III and I think I forgot some, and it is at this moment that we realize that there is no 10 V, despite the possibility of downloading it. After that it is not the end of man maybe it will come.

indeed. i made something of a fuss about it at the time.

what I want is for Jolla to pick up my C2 phone which apparently arrived.
to repair it and send it back to me.
apparently I have a message telling me that it has arrived at its destination but that no one has picked it up.
That’s something that worries me more.

Please shift your post to Jolla C2 phone deliveries, this is wrong thread here!

Just send them a message (through support) and tell them. They will refund you the wrongly purchased license.

Made the same mistake and it was no problem at all.

I’m now still waiting for them to actually release the license, so that I can buy it again…

Any news on when a license for the Xperia V will be “released”?

The battery on my XA2 is slowly dying ^^’

Time to use the golden answer of this recurrent question on the forum…: Soon ™
Sorry i couldn’t resist

There is no news.
If you want a daily driver in the near future, your best chance by far is to buy a Jolla C2. It’s a turd of a phone, and it’s a lottery if you will get a working one or one that bricks itself on first login, but it is the best chance of it being actually usable in the near future (as usable as a hideous phone with no fingerprint in 2025 can be).

Xperias are second-class citizens in the Jolla ecosystem (apparently because of Sony, from what people say on the forum, but who can really know since Jolla never gives an intelligible, useful status update on what they do behind the curtains?).

Actually there is a news, and that is that it shall be released before the end of June. Just a few month left for that great device to run our lovely OS
