Are you sure that it is through the loudspeakers? I think it is because the sound has been turned up to max. Try during a call to switch to the loudspeakers.
Yes, I think so. If I turn on/off hands free speaker, I would say that it’s the same, I don’t have the phone with me at this moment to test again.
EDIT: I can confirm that the sound is always through loudspeakers instead ear speakers in voice calls, it had nothing to do with volume level is max or not.
Can confirm that this also happens on my 10 IV. Audio always comes from the speaker (at the bottom of the phone) never the earpiece (at the top of the phone). Switching to and from speakerphone while the call is in progress makes no difference. Same result for outgoing and incoming calls on both VoLTE and GSM.
4.6.0.15, newly flashed and nothing else installed. Xperia 10 IV XQ-CC54.
The installation was performed according to the official Jolla installation guide. Mobile network, LTE data, Bluetooth, Android App Support and proximity sensor are working correctly.
Observed issues:
Earpiece audio does not work during calls.
Calls are routed to the loudspeaker.
PulseAudio reports:
Active profile: voicecall
Active port: output-earpiece
Manually switching between output-speaker and output-earpiece changes the volume level, but audio still comes from the loudspeaker.
CSD audio tests fail.
Both “Receiver” and “Earpiece” tests play audio through the loudspeaker instead of the earpiece.
Wired headset routing does not work.
Headset insertion/removal is detected by the system.
The display wakes up when the headset is inserted or removed.
However, call audio is not routed to the headset.
PulseAudio logs:
failed to set source ‘source.primary_input’ port to ‘input-wired_headset’
failed to set sink ‘sink.primary_output’ port to ‘output-wired_headset’
pactl list cards does not show output-wired_headset or input-wired_headset ports.
Camera preview is black.
Camera application starts normally.
UI elements are visible and settings can be changed.
The camera preview remains completely black.
These issues appear to be related to audio and camera routing/initialization in the device HAL layer.
