If the native browser is actually a FireFox, how can I install extensions? Mainly uBlock origin
I guess I should have been more correct in saying it is a port of Gecko from Firefox ESR to Qt, not of the whole Firefox browser. Regarding adblocking, install “Defender” on repository Chum. For the full story, see
Extensions do not work; best effort is someone copied the extension folder from another computer; it does show in the SFOS native browser, but are not active.

If it is just a preference I would highly recommend at least testdriving the default Browser or Ielig as native apps are generally better than Android Apps. Always try to find a native app from a trusted community member!

Im also a first time user with the new Jolla Phone and that and asking in the forum is the essence of my linux phone test that became me daily driving this phone.
As an android browser I can recommend Fennec as said above. But waterfox has an Android app too.

You cannot as of now with the current engine. There are some (3) system level adblocker and filter availabe in Chum or just install Adguard Home Server as background - its a linux phone after all (made a guide on that)

Indeed. Firefox account is not at all privacy oriented, IMO. Though it can be useful at times. We really don’t know what Mozilla does with information related to the account. Even when switching off “Firefox data collection and use”.
Export from one, import to the other.

I haven’t checked but this almost certain to work with bookmarks exported from Firefox, Waterfox, Palemoon, Librewolf, and all the other Firefox derivatives.
