USB-C to 3.5mm jack adapters known to work with Sailfish OS

It doesn’t change the fact that it’s your opinion and not a fact, why can’t you understand that? Audio is incredibly subjective thing. Only measuring something is objective. Heck even each human hears differently, HRTF dude.

I’ve spammed enough in this thread, good bye

Please guys, behave. This is turning into personal pissing contest.

yeap, hence i finished

I wouldn’t be against you yeeting our discussion altogether

That might be the case, but on Desktop Linux it is usually easy to manually select the audio output channel, on the Jolla Phone, one is more reliant on the automatic output selection to work. It didn’t for the KiwiEars AD1 DAC. After creating that symbolic link as written above, that problem was resolved however.

I’ve asked you to specify how I can reproduce you’re poster child results to determine the real outcome of a comparison, and you have yet to indicate how. It’s not evident from the link I reliinked, how I should accomplish this. I live by physical testing of hardware. I’m willing to go there. So please, answer the question.

It will work with every usb audio device, it even worked with 20 output audio interface

Then I’d rather have thread with usb DAC tips and tricks rather than list of working devices, and like maybe helping people out with dacs in this thread

I don’t know much about how it all works, I do know that my USB DAC was not correctly selected when plugging it in out of the box, but after creating that link to the config file, it did work reliably, plugging in and plugging out.

If that is just a “tips and tricks” or product dependent I don’t know. I just shared my experience here. The solution to my problem was also not my invention, apparently it helped already someone else with USB-DAC output issues.

Then yeah I think it’d be better to have thread with tips and tricks and like maybe people chiming in “this dac didn’t work at first but i did this and it works now” or “this dac has default volume at 40% but this fixes it”

would be much more sensible than list of working dacamps, because list of what doesn’t work i’m quite confident is MUCH shorter than what works

But it’s fun that people are picking up interest in usb dacs, i felt alone in this adventure in 2016

Yes. This.

And then PR/bug-report/feature-request the parts that makes sense for that.

Unless it was the exact same model; then you basically just proved it is a generic tip/trick?

Cool, you’re free to start that thread, as it’s not gonna capture rubdos’s issue or poetaster’s issue it seems you’ll have a thread for one dongle, or do you plan one thread per dongle issue, again, good luck and go ahead, seems like this thread is much more desirable and less forum-spammy

If I am not mistaken, the solution was posted for the Apple DAC, not my Chinese KiwiEars AD1 (KT02H20 DAC). I don’t know what chip is in the Apple DAC though.

I rest my case.

Next people will want lists for SD cards. :person_facepalming:

Rest what case? We need thread for each dac now instead of one place with all dac’s???

I have this guy blocked but we actually agree with eachother which is rare and is significant xd

That we don’t need info on individual DACs - not even in a big list.

Yes, lets have 50 threads about each dac that doesn’t work instead of a wiki thread, are you ok?

Please re-read what i said. What i’m arguing for lays on the other side of your standpoint compared to what you are trying to smear on me.

I really don’t know why there is the need for this aggressive tone. I had an issue with my USB-DAC with the Jolla Phone, someone else had an issue with an Apple DAC it seems on an Xperia. The same solution worked for both. I am not aware of any issues with any SD-cards but what do I know.

I did not create this thread but I thought my experience was relevant, given that not just me had an issue with USB-DAC and this thread is about USB-DACs.

Lets have a thread about each and every volte isp that doesn’t work, hell, lets have one for sms and one for voice while we’re at it, attah wake the f up
