Ok, thank! We got rid of one ‘occasional race condition’ but I just discovered, we’ve replaced it with another ![]()
Tooter update available at the Jolla store! Shout out to @poetaster and to Lari for doing the heavy lifting ![]()
@poetaster do I just remember incorrectly or something, I think there use to be “Reply” option on the pull down menu when looking some toot. Now there is only “Open in Browser” or “Copy Link to Clipboard”. Still seam to able to reply for toots when long pressing toot in my main feed and choosing from there “reply”
If you hold down on a toot you get the context menu with Fav, Boost, Reply, Quote, Bookmark.
If you’re viewing a toot/thread, there is a partially visible reply box at the bottom. This was ‘intended’ but sucks and I’m working on it. There are a number of bugs that crept in with the number of new features ![]()
I don’t know why but when looking toot/thread I can’t find way to activate the partially viaible reply box at the bottom
Edit. But super glad to hear that you are already working on it <3 Love the app ![]()
Just tap on the little green area at the bottom. But, this is why I need to fix it
I’ll either add a handle or just have it be a bit higher. The idea was ‘minimized’ for reading space. But it wasn’t such a good idea.
Not so bad idea in my opinion, but there seems to be no option to revert the maximisation
Ah, might be that screen protector is messing things here. If I tap around ten times from there, from one tap it opens it. So it works, but not just so well maybe with screen protector, Sony Xperia 10III here. Also noticed (don’t know if this is known bug) if I try to follow someone, I can press the follow button multiple times and it shows the follower number dropping everytime I press the follow button. I think that is just visual bug, just FYI in case this wasn’t tracked
I’ll make a ticket! That could be another new one.
Downloaded latest update, there are some new bugs
1 switching profile creates an empty feed, for the app to work i need to switch profile > close the app > reopen it
2 the notification tab doesn’t work anymore, it’s always empty
3 the “trending” tab icon is still missing
4 the “trending” tab does not work
This might be an old one, not sure
5 sometimes media is black until i touch the screen
Just for reference, i am using the app with Pixelfed, not with mastodon, and maybe that’s why bug 4 is present…
Ok, there were a number of updates with use the v2 of the api and I still haven’t done anything for pixelfed. I need to look at api differences. I have a number of bugs in the list so it could take a while… Adding to github …
With the curret version from Jolla Store I am having to log in almost every time I jump into the app. Even multiple times a day. Any thoughts on what might be going on?
Hmmm. That sounds odd. You could try removing the data in
.local/share/de.poetaster/harbour-tooterb
I ended up doing the ‘regular user’ thing, based on this point (I tend to aim for having the regular user experience, to get a feel for how they would experience things). In other words I deleted and reinstalled the app. This actually worked and is no longer constantly asking me to relogin. However this worked in a slightly unexpected way: upon reinstallation and starting the app, I was immediately logged in. So I guess deleting the app did not delete the account authentication.
Thanks for reminding me! It is in fact the case that the user settings are not removed on removing the app. That should at least make the readme. It is a bit ‘unsafe’ in so far as one token (not password) is stored. That can, of course, be revoked.
I’ve rolled back a number of the changes that went into 1.3.0 and avoided api v2 changes. The current state of Commits · poetaster/harbour-tooter · GitHub
This branch should work, but, testing with gram.social and I don’t get proper multi-account support (ie. don’t see content from pixelfed). I also went back further and still could not get multiple accounts working. Could you look a the pre-laril branch and see if you get something sensible?
Could someone, @roundedrectangle perchance have a look at that branch? I had tried to move farther back in time, but could not get pixelfed working at all ?
EDIT: I’ve rolled this out as a release, 1.3.1. @molan please push to openrepos. Available on github and coming to harbour and chum It’s more stable and the git commit history on the master branch should make it much easier to fix the pixelfed issues.
Announcing 1.3.2
Sun Mar 22 2026 Mark Washeim blueprint@poetaster.de - 1.3.2
- [Fix] correct poll display
- [Fix] restore debug toggles
- [Fix] mentions aggregation for reply to all @ in post
- [Fix] descendants only added one in conversation
Up on github, coming to chum and harbour … @molan, please update openrepos. And thank you!
Did an update on harbour and notifications now work again, yay
On a side note, i finally discovered where the trending icon is
It’s located under (yes, under) the left home icon, as i’ve erroneously made a swipe on the bar and it appeared
My guess is that the xa2 screen space is too small for all those icons, so last space stays empty and icons goes under
Thank you @poetaster for the update! Came stunningly fast to the Harbour, so thanks to @jolla also ![]()
Oh, thanks for the space note. I’ll add that to the ticket list!
