Toggle XPeria 10III Cameras

@nephros thank you for the toggle button! I just installed it on 4.5.0.24 and it works perfectly and as described in this thread. The warning “while no apps are accessing the camera” makes me wonder what could happen if I do it…

Does anyone knows why this happens? the thing where not all cameras are available at once like xperia 10 ii?

Edit:

Found it as I was looking the source code: Camera | Sailfish OS Documentation

It works just fine also with SFOS 4.6*, but the toggle button icon is gone!
I probably could work around this on my own, but @nephros might want to fix it for all of us?

Yayaya will get to it eventually!

I know what to do (not that there’s any useful docs from Jolla…), just have to get around to do it.

But I understand functionally everything is OK, just the icon is empty?

Yep, just the icon… and some more chars. :slightly_smiling_face:

OK, the fix is in, put on Chum:Testing, and on it’s way to Chum.

Unfortunately due to unrelated things, packages do not build currently for 4.6 on OBS. So in reality no real fixed package is available at this time.

Once the issues with building are fixed, the package should become available automatically.

very appreciated feature, works fine on 5.0.0.72. only when device is locked and open camera with triple camera ON then i can go to main screen without typing security code.

is this expected ?

I’m new to this. Like how do I go about installing this"?

  1. Own an Xperia 10 III or 10 II with SailfishOS
  2. Install Chum GUI
  3. In Chum GUI search for ‘Triple Camera Toggle’
  4. Install the found app.

If 2. is unclear, use the search function to find the solution

I just had to start a step 3…

Nice work, but a little suggestion: why not sort the camera buttons but there numbers, so that 1.0 as standard stands in the middle between 0.6 and 2.0?

This seems to be an issue with the Camera application. AdvancedCam sorts correctly but has the icons for wide-angle and tele mixed up :-/

The order of the cameras as reported by the system, or their display in any app is nothing the Camera Toggle app can fix or influence.

Please report any perceived defects to the respective app developers/issue trackers.
