You are welcome.
How about the preview pictures?. They wonât load on all mentioned feeds.
The only feed where the preview works is
https://ostraum.com/feed
Can you fix this in a further version?

If I remember correctly, only feeds using currently show pictures. And thatâs an rss thing. But I need to revisit it. In my list about half are still using old school rss and enclosures. Some offer more than one form. Iâll see what can be done. EDIT I see youâre already making tickets make a feature request. Iâll try to take some time next weekâŚ
Just a confirmation that loading atom feeds has issues. Iâm investigating.
Done with the feature request on GitHub
Found a new bug.
While adding the feed ownsx // I get the bug with the preview picture as shown in the screenshot.
Nice. Do that again Kidding. Itâs something Iâve seen before, but canât get to repeat. Iâll try this version.
Ergh. That is a crap feed. But still, interesting bug! contains the likes of:

EDIT: but thatâs not the issue. This is an atom feed, it is an rss feed and it is an itunes feed. It includes full html in the
sections and is, as such, not an rss feed, nor is it an atom feed. And it does not conform to the itunes standards either. I donât know.
This is kind of not Tidings relevant but, âeast-westâ relevant and I like it when by chance one kind of material, bug report for instance, co-insides with another, for instance, paper back on the table next to the laptop: Steffen Mau wrote: LĂźtten Klein âLeben in der ostdeutschen Transformationsgesellschaftâ. If youâre interested in the european east-west problems of the last 30 years, must read. German.
I know his books. Already read LĹątten Klein and Sortiermaschinen by Steffen Mau.
A more general view on east - west clash you can find on Ivan Krastev: The Light that Failed and After Europe. Both available in english and german language.
Bonus read: Marci Shore - The Taste of Ashes. Also available in english and german.
Dear poetaster, I am so grateful for your app, because I appreciate the lack of dustraction when reading news. But a little issue occurs when adding this feed:
http://www.ndr.de/nachrichten/niedersachsen/index-rss.xml
The very first sync went well, but next sync I get always the message âxml format is not supportetâ. Any idea?
Iâll add this to the previous, atom, link for debugging runs. Thanks!
So I started testing with this feed and of course, it just works. I wonder. I had marked all entries as read and refreshed this morning which left only one, the most recent entry, and that one showed up correct. There were also no errors or timeouts on repeatedly reloading. All older entries still have strange image issues, so there is a basis for comparison. Iâd ask you to:
And of course, the second test instance, which I had added yesterday, refreshing today, just worked. Does the feed always give you an error on syncing after first adding it?
The âBĂźcherliste 2022â feed now works fine without picture artifacts. No glue whatâs changed here.
Thanks! Iâve discovered a behaviour that I can correct (the scaling behaviour which happens on errors which is just âwrongâ) and am going to implement a filter that will grab alternate pictures out of src-sets since itâs a good thing â˘. But that feed is a bit âbuggyâ by design!

Sorry for my late reply: First I tried âLesestatus zurĂźcksetzenâ with no success. Then I deleted the entry, closed the app, added again this feed: this time already the first attempt to load news failed. Do I have to reinstall the complete app? But how could I achieve to clear the hidden config files in the SFOS?
Edit: I changed the url from http to https, and suddenly it works. Shame on me.
Thanks for taking the time to test!

And teamwork, thanks @xmasjos fix: ViewPage star icon issue with SF4.5.0 by Xmasjos ¡ Pull Request #102 ¡ poetaster/tidings ¡ GitHub
I also fixed a WebView bug. Release coming to all channels âŚ
Youâre thanking me for a simple icon fix, which was an annoyance for me? And meanwhile, you really did something by fixing an issue in webview. You deserve all credit for maintaining such an application. I tried, but it isnât easyâŚ
Iâm releasing a version which supports simple OPML import. It would be helpful to get some test files since I have a limited number to work with. If you have the time, please upload a file at:
How long has this issue been open!?
