The network logo is blinking and I'm unable to send text messages

Hello again,

I tried to send an SMS for the first time in the Jolla application but nothing happens. I have the network icon flashing, I receive and i can call fine, I have internet working (4G), but for SMS it shows me ‘message sending problem’… What should I do? :confused:

Try checking carrier settings.

Thank you! I tried but it didn’t work. I accidentally tested sending the SMS by entering the person’s name twice in the field, and it sent the text message three times, with one successful send and two pending sends…Very very strange

Okay, I finally found the problem, and I’m not sure this affects many people, but just in case… I’m with La Poste Mobile, a French operator. Currently in 2026, they’re in the process of switching to the Bouygues operator. In my case, the SIM card was defective (I’d had it for a long time), and replacing it fixed the problem.

If you go to La Banque Postale to change your SIM card, they’ll ask whether your network is with SFR or Bouygues, but you need to insist that the SIM card is indeed Bouygues, even if the person changing your SIM card can’t switch it on your file. This is important because La Poste Mobile no longer guarantees an SFR network, which could compromise your SMS sending, GPS navigation, etc.
