The USofA has been a plutocracy since Ronald Regan. As Waren Buffet is quoted in the wikipedia article on same subject, the rich have been at war with the poor for some time. I went for the kleptocracy in honor of ‘they stole the election’ Trump. That crew is a band of thieves and deceivers. But, they certainly aren’t the only ones on the planet of that stripe 
I suspect it will be a kleptocracy in the end, but it’s hard to do the bookkeeping while they hold the reigns.

I would like to know if this thread is authorised by Jolla. I know that these posts are made by some community members, but I also remember that before, political comments always were flagged.
If Jolla subscribes what the majority here is saying, it will be difficult for me to find trust in the company.
They were flagged, in threads that had nothing to do (or veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery loosely related) with the threads original purpose like the Bluetooth and the AuroraOS thread.
This thread can be muted, it is a bit stupid and counterproductive to have to mute all the threads
As long as people behave themselves and follow the very loose rules in here, I can start a thread that is only about pancakes and the best things to have om them blueberries, maple syrup or bacon, and if someone comes in and says that Java is better than COBOL (they are right of course) that would be a reason to flag.

@Kea what’s bad in this thread? We all know Jolla since many years. This thread is chitchat about this and that aside from deadly serious topics. So why not? I’m happy that this can exist, that absolutely doesn’t mean that i share all posted options .
I trust in Jolla honestly and from the bottom of my heart, that i will always have something to tinker and tweak, as long as my old x10 will work, and computer hobby will not become boring, because always something needs some fix and it’ll never be ready.

err, what are they saying? I haven’t got a consensus out of this thread so wouldn’t know what is being endorsed. Are you referring to plutocracies? Or? In any case, Jolla took the necessary means to divest themselves of Russian interests, so that can’t be it?

Do you really believe that Russia invaded Ukraine to protect the russian minorities there? It was an excuse, like the NATO expansion. The real goal of Russia has always been to have a military base in the mediterrean sea (Crimea) with a land link to mainland Russia (Donbas, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson). And in fact, that’s what the map of the Russian occupied territories says.
Of course I do believe in the core european values, but here we are talking about something else. A nuclear superpower is exploiting these values to subjugate a sovereign nation though a fabricated crisis. War can indeed happen when only one side has imperial ambitions, why don’t you think it’s possible? It has happened in the past with other nuclear superpowers.
If you don’t believe me, just read what Girkin and Prigozhin said in rare moments of truth:

Actually discussing with persons who deliberately are posting fake news is a waste of time. I assume that we in this forum have people who are intelligent enough to find reliable information. So e.g. if someone shows nothing to understand about the sovereignty of nations, how countries have become sovereign, I am sure we have to deal with a person who knows well, but nevertheless spreads disinformation. Such a person is called a troll.
I don’t debunk that fake news, presented as ‘opinion’ when it is done on purpose. This never helps and the only solution is not sympathetic yet effective: mute.
I am sure that the Finnish government, who helped Jolla out of its misery, will not be happy either with a Sailfish forum spreading fake news in this alarming time.

I agree with everything, except the last sentence which seems overly dramatic. We are not spreading fake news by allowing some trolls to express their idiotic opinion which they are, unfortunately, entitled to.
If you scroll back in the forum history you will notice that we have had problems with certain users time and again, basically hijacking threads, usually pushing pro-Russian opinions, often straight mis/disinformation. I think it’s worth trying to give them one thread, instead of all of them.
Personally, if I was mod/admin here, I’d just ban their asses but it might not be so easy because Jolla accounts are a bit more than just forum accounts.
Whoever interacts with disinformation trolls (critically or not) should keep in mind that they’re creating bandwidth for them because such controversies usually float to the top (and as a consequence I will now stop liking posts here).

I suggest to ban everyone who spread other opinions than our opinion. This forum has to be for the purist, with a clean ideology. I hope Jolla will ban all this assholes who are spreading propaganda different than “our” propaganda. Like in a true democracy! It is either them or us.

I don’t think you can dismiss such phenomena so easily.
What you call “trolls” already demonstrated that they can win elections. You can certainly mute some random people here in the forum, but this will be more tricky in real life.
That’s why I think it’s important to have a dialog with those people who have completely different views. Let’s not live in a bubble, it might break at some point.

This nation received the right to be sovereign nation by signing a contract. According this contract there are two official languages. Funny for a fact there was a coup in 2014 and the new incarnation of SS took over and banned Russian, the orthodox church and started mishandling the RU speakers, because they opposed the gov. installed trough a coup.
So tell me please how this is legal? And why should I not flag your post when you call me a troll?
IMO you are in the fake news much deeper than you can imagine, but it all doesn’t matter. You can not change the course of history and at the end truth prevails.

I would say cancel the Cancel-culture and all will be fine.
Unfortunately you should also learn to find the real truth and not the one that someone is feeding you trough social media TV or whatever.
I really like you attitude now and I hope the rest that is extreme in flagging different opinions learns something and start respecting.
I also hope that the winning of elections will continue and we clean up the landscape from fake news on both sides. Held the sources responsible and do not trust or believe anything before proving it first hand.
