I think the simple answer is: that’s what’s hot these days in terms of VC funding, you can get money from investors looking for the next big thing with AI, 0 investors are looking to invest in third mobile OS, we were supposed to be killed by purism/pinephone for over 4 years now by power of opensource, still the only daily drivable linux on phone ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
