[solved] Browser tab overview always starts at top

DESCRIPTION:

Going to the tab overview in the browser the view always shows the first of the open tabs, regardless of which tab was previously open.

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

  1. Open the browser
  2. Open enough tabs so they do not fit on one screen
  3. Go to the tab overview

EXPECTED RESULT:

The tab that was active while opening the tab overview should be visible.

ACTUAL RESULT:

The overview always shows the first tabs only

I too would expect the tab list to open with the currently selected tab visible, especially because the most likely reason (for me) to open the tab list is to work around the ‘no close button’ feature. I almost wonder if this is part of a strategy to discourage closing tabs . . .

btw, at least on my really tall Xperia 10 II, more tabs are visible in landscape than portrait orientation .

This appears to have been fixed in 4.3. Yaay!

Ah yes, I see that too. Fortunately, going back to the tab does open the correct tab, after which you can open the tab overview again. It’s still a bug, but at least it’s only really a problem if you want to close multiple tabs.
