Sipgate SIM: no data connection in slot 1 when roaming

DESCRIPTION:

While travelling through Belgium and France, I noticed I didn’t have an internet connection with my german sipgate SIM which, as far as I remember, is quite picky about the correct apn

PRECONDITIONS:

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

1.put sipgate sim in slot 1, enter correct apn data that works in Germany
2.travel to Belgium or France
3. Try to establish a data connection on any of the networks

EXPECTED RESULTS:

data connection will be established

ACTUAL RESULTS:

phone tries to connect, changes from connection activated to established, but only for tenths of a second, stays at activated instead if connected after that

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Putting the sipgate SIM in slot 2 instead makes it work fine, connection is established immediately. A german prepaid vodafone callya SIM works fine in both SIM slots.

I saw the same phenomenon on my X10 II too. There is actually a way to get an internet connection. You have to enable roaming data first and then go to Settings->Network (Mobiles Netzwerk in German)-> Internet.
It’s quite strange that it works with this workaround, but you can’t enable it from the Top-Menu.

The last time I tried, Android couldn’t connect to the Internet.

By the way, I wonder if this isn’t a duplicate bug report.
