Sailfish x86 Linux Distribution for x86_64

The way I did this port was combining the system image of the latte port with the kernel and firmware of Ubuntu 20.04. For ARM, I would recommend combining the system image from PinePhone with the kernel and firmware of ARM Ubuntu. Simply using the PinePhone kernel and firmware might work also (but isn’t very likely)

To update to Kvarken, simply use the standard ssu and release commands. I have tested it and it works perfectly

Hi!

To increase the visibility of this adaptation, I create a torrent of the last release and I uploaded it to http://linuxtracker.org

How Can I to build the Sailffish OS X86_64 in ubuntu18.04 and could run in PC,
Could you give me some suggest or some reference ? thankyou!

Please clarify, so you want to rebuild sailfish on top of 18.04 instead of 20.04? why?

Hello HengYeDev,
Can you share the build process and code?
Thank you.

Anyone say if the thinkpad Trackpoint works?.

That’s just about how to install , not about how to build.

Build is a complicated manual process which involving copying firmware, kernels, and assorted stuff until it works

I tried on my older DELL Latitude E5440 which has a touchscreen. Touchscreen, Wifi are working oob. Thank you for this great work, please continue it and keep Sailfish on x86_64 alive.
