Sailfish OS voluntary subscription

I’m looking at Sep and oct invoice PDFs, they’re missing multiple critical elements

  • my company name (visible in order HTML view, so I definitely entered it)
  • my company VAT ID
  • for some reason VAT is still included in price, which should be 0% for cross-border export?
  • invoice PDF isn’t attached to order email, why?

Is this some self-built ecommerce platform? It’s like with CRMs and CMSs - just don’t. Everybody’s else’s is million miles better.

I also joined the monthly subscription  Not much, but better than nothing. Thank you for keeping Sailfish alive :+1:

Bit late to the party, but I also signed up. I really hope that SFOS can be eventually
a viable alternative to the masses too, Europe really needs this.

Pre-ordered the Next-gen Jolla phone and signed up for a monthly subscription :smiling_face_with_sunglasses:

I also want to mention that one small thing one can do to support Sailfish is to contact the providers of the services you use and request a Sailfish application. Does not cost anything but a small amount of time.

4 posts were split to a new topic: [Voluntary subscription] Rounded prices

Besides funding the cause. Does a subscription provide the add-ons Microsoft Exchange, Predictive Text and Android Application Support?

No. Those add-ons are tied to a license which can be bought independently.

The subscription is basically a donation to Jolla. One way to keep this boat afloat, so to speak.

With the C2, Jolla proposed a subscription model to ensure continuous revenue. The issue to solve is a single payment of 25-50 € per new Sony device is very little money for Jolla to live on assuming one only needs a new device every ~3 years.

A number of people preferred one-time purchases, or yearly payments rather than monthly. Jolla heard and changed the subscription model to voluntary which as @dmz said basically makes it a donation.

Check the excellent answer to this question: “What happens when my subscription ends?”

my thoughts exactly - everything from 0,01 to infity would make sense to me. Whatever the reason for supermarket prices is.. x,90 instead of a round amount.

Also a yearly option - as already mentioned by others - would be nice.

I recently discovered the subscription and chose the same monthly amount.
