subscribed for me and my friend for using a nice device.
And Mr. Magister I would subscribe for you too. I can’t find something on verdanditeam homepage. Your Money button doesn’t work. Best regards.

Subscribed as a monthly subscribtion
Hi @rainemak ,
Is there any intention to allow Australian subscribers? Or should I just make up an address?
Thanks
Any chance to get the payment option “banc transfer” or “direct debit”?
As soon as I can use my Sony Xperia 10 V productively, I will also support the project.
I hope you will find many subscribers that subscribe for a monthly subscription to thus generate at least some constant flow of income. For me, supporting SFOS is worthwhile a subscription and I highly appreciate the voluntary character of the subscription (I hate being urged to something - one reason I like SFOS)
To make it clear, this is not a donation. This is a subscription and we handle VAT accordingly. The VAT handling makes it more tricky to expand (One Stop Shop VAT scheme helps in EU). Currently subscription is available in EU + NO, CH and UK like any other products that we’re selling.
I would be willing to support Jolla like that, but on the other hand I would expect a few things:
So in short: I expect something in return when I’ll invest further money in SFOS - and to be honest everything of the things I listed above is an industrial standard for mobile phones. If Jolla really wants to try to compete especially with the big two system those features would be a (strongly needed!) catch up to standards.
I am willing to subscribe on a monthly basis, but I understand that it is possible to stop or cancel this subscription at any time.
I would like to know what the procedure is for stopping the subscription at any time. Is this option available once the subscription has been taken out ? Same question if I want to decrease/increase the amount during the subscription period ?
In any case, I hope this venture will be successful because what Jolla is doing, despite the bugs, slowdowns, and delayed updates, is an absolute necessity ![]()

When you subscribe, you get an email that has a Manage Subscription link. Upon navigating to said page from link, you’re asked to enter your email and then you get a verification code to enter.
You’re presented with a simple dashboard that has your upcoming order (so next payment), buttons to pause and cancel. You can go into a “Show upcoming orders” and skip specific months as well.
I’m not seeing anywhere support for modifying the amount you pay per month, so I suspect you would need to cancel then create a new subscription for the different amount.
Though I don’t like subscription models I subscribed with monthly subscription because for me the SFOS devices with the best user experience where community ports.
For me it were ports for Gigaset GS290 and Gigaset GS5 by @piggz which I still use as my daily driver.
Most likely my next daily driver will be a Fairphone 6 (or Fairphone 5) once Jolla will bring up eSIM-support for SFOS.
Even though some community ports seem to work more stable and/or with a better user experience than officially supported devices, every porter depends on Jollas work on OBS, the basic OS, etc. to maintain these community ports.
So I think it’s only fair to support Jolla for their work as well, even if I may rather go to a community port than to an official phone/license because the community device may fit my needs better than the official one.
I subscribed for all the nice we have and for all the nice we want to have. It is the ‘human’ in human life that always something is missing..
And the confirmation site proved that my subscription is proudly presented to Google ![]()
totally agree, I use currently a community port as well, but nevertheless supported the SFOS ecosystem with a subscription . Worth it from my perspective
That is a based take i agree with, I usually support Jolla with contributions to the code
Subscribed…
And hoping for support for modern phones.
(I recently bought a Sony Xperia X)
Your contributions (and the contributions of many other developers) to the code and in the further development of SFOS are more worth than any money most of us could give.
Taking some money for subscriptions (or donations to the developers) is the least thing, any of us could do.
Oh yes: And saying “thank you!” ![]()
Community ports are only for persons who are able to port Sailfish to a device. I hope Jolla will create a (commercially available) device with Sailfish pre-flashed as announced recently. This justifies to me a subscription model.
I prefer a subscription by bank transfer, yet I made a humble subscription by creditcard. Paypal is a no go for me.
That’s blatantly incorrect. There’s plenty of people using community ports who are not able to port sfos. You have no idea what you’re talking about so don’t make stuff up
