Oh, sorry. I hadn’t read everything carefully. I thought only the XA2 had problems and that my case was my inability to update via CLI. So, yes - clearing the partition as described here [Release notes] Tampella 5.0.0.71 - #151 by Keto let the device (X10) boot into the OS now.
Just one more curiosity that caught my attention. Before the above clearing task, the device booted into the OS. The scenario was that the USB cable was already attached to the phone and the computer while booting it. Rebooting it again without cable bring the recovery screen again.
A 5.0.0.72 update has been published, addressing the recovery boot issues on Xperia XA2, Xperia 10, and Jolla C2.
installed, worked flawlessly
could you post your model to make a reliable example for people who are hesitating to install the update?
Of course, it’s a C2
@Keto - great to see that the TMPDIR workaround is included in 5.0.0.72. Thanks!
Update to 5.0.0.72 went well and flashing also fimage.img001. Good job and thank you!
So a reset initiated from “Settings > Reset device” will set it/device stay on 5.0.0.72, right?
5.0.0.72 has been shown as available also on Xperia 10 V, can/should it be installed as well?
yes: updated from .71 to .72 on 10 V without issues.
the voting is still for 0.71
however went smooth on C2 from 0.71 to 0.72
10 V : Uppdate with small issues for 5.0.0.72.
Firstly, after 2 pcs shutdown- starts ups I took a way AAS.
After start-up installed AAS again. Then it was needed again 2x shutdown & start-ups. Now Android support works flawlessly In my 10 V with 5.0.0.72. ![]()
.72 is available for all devices, but compared to .71 there isn’t significant changes on other devices than Xperia XA2/10 and Jolla C2.
It does have one packagekit fix, which may in some cases help with the download of future updates, so it is good to to get it on any device.
XA2 user here - update went flawlessly (5.0.0.68 → 5.0.0.72)
Smooth update on my Xperia XA2 from 5.0.0.68 to 5.0.0.72.
Thanks.
Smooth update to 5.0.0.72 from previous version as well here, Xperia 10 II.
However, now have random “vibrations” as if pulley is pulled.
XA2 updated without a hitch. It still does not have the new AppSupport settings though.
Are you sure the update to 5.0.0.72 was successful?
For me, the update from 5.0.0.68 to 5.0.0.72 only worked on the second attempt. I now have the new AAS settings.
Maybe you have first an update to 5.0.0.71. And then to the new one.
My XA2 is actually on 5.0.0.72 now, updated from 5.0.0.71. But I did the update from .68 to .71 from the command line and I think my AppSupport didn’t update and somehow got stuck on an old version. Is there any way I can check to confirm this?
