Basically yes, although all the magic happens more or less independently of the (Lipstick/Silica) UI.
It has a web interface you access from your LAN, and some configuration happens in the shell via SSH at the moment.
Since not everyone needs an AI assistant, it would also be interesting to have a more affordable and compact set-top box or HDMI stick with Sailfish OS for streaming videos on your TV screen, etc
I’m happy to see progress on the mind2. I am also waiting for improvements for the C2 like ending a call properly without restarting ophono services in the coming major release.
At least with quick search I could not find any report of phone shutting down when charger is disconnected from the forum or our internal bugtracker. Does it happen every time? Does it happen with all chargers? Could you maybe create separate post about this issue to collect more details?
When restarting the C2 phone for the installation touch buttons were unresponsive for security code. Shutting the display and opening it fixed made work. Same was with previous release. I tried normal power off and on and touch seemed to work properly.
This problem still exists. Also sometimes the decryption does not work and I need to restart several times. My workaround for non touch after start. Click on the keyboard button top left several times even with multiple fingers around 10 times. After the virtual keyboard showed up… Touch is back on. To get the not decrypt working I restart around five times even in DFU mode. I did not find a reproducible solution to fix that problem yet.
IMHO it would be nice to combine the two ideas (@fingus and @tux_in_IE) and have a small Linux single board computer (I have a Radxa Rock 5B running openSUSE Tumbleweed) and control it with my phone (through wifi) instead of a (bluetooth) remote. I think almost all of the necessary software already exists. I would like to add the possibility to use the phone as a game controller too, though.
